✨ An evening where rhythm, poetry and devotion came alive through Bharatanatyam! ✨

@asha_sharath_official Asha Sharath’s performance on the eighth day of the 49th edition of the 111-day-long Soorya Festival unfolded through a beautiful repertoire blending classical tradition, devotion and literary expression.

The concert opened with Alarippu, set to Ragamalika and Chathurasra Jati Rupaka Talam, followed by Bhavayami Raghuramam, the celebrated Carnatic Ragamalika composition by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal, set to Rupaka Talam.

The evocative Malayalam poem “Mambazham” by Vyloppilli Sreedhara Menon, with music composed by Mithun Jayaraj, brought a deeply emotional dimension to the performance. The evening concluded with a vibrant Thillana in Raga Soorya, set to Adi Talam.

A memorable celebration of Bharatanatyam, where every movement expressed emotion and every rhythm carried the richness of India’s artistic heritage.

If I have been able to leave even a small mark in the world of art and photography, I owe much of that journey to Sri. Soorya Krishnamurthy sir and the Soorya Festival.

His vision, passion, and dedication to the arts have inspired countless artists and photographers like me. For me, his contribution was not just an influence—it was a meaningful part of my own artistic journey.

His passing is not merely a loss to the art community of Kerala, but a profound loss to the world of art and culture across the globe.

Thank you, Sir, for the inspiration, opportunities, and memories. Your legacy will continue to live through the countless lives you touched.

Pranām. 🙏
