im going pro, Boston pro. Its literally pro for professional. has got legit certification designed for professionals in healthcare, hospitality, etc, to provide that extra feat of water and slip resistance in a harsher working environment. and also with comfort in mind of course. also like that muted green midsole, giving it a little more character to the otherwise typical plain black Boston. but tbh, they had me at Boston.

Today, we tour Chin Feng and Shu Ling’s @shuls.hua colourful family maisonette.

Originally designed with a modern farmhouse direction, the home has continued to evolve with their family. Using colour, warm wood, playful prints, and sentimental pieces to fill the space, with thoughtful details make everyday life with two young children a little easier.

Most importantly it’s a home that isn’t meant to feel “finished”, but one that continues to change and grow with them.

A sneak peek into what goes into your designer’s inner thoughts when choosing flooring for your home.

We asked interior designer and homeowner Ruby Chong @hellohomebodies to share how she approaches flooring – from grain and undertones to shade, spatial scale and sound.

Because choosing the right floor isn’t just about finding one you like. It’s about finding what works with your space, your furniture and how you want your home to feel.

Ready to find yours? Book an experience session at Hayashi’s showroom. We’ll walk you through the ABCs of flooring, especially our best-selling acoustic flooring range – no obligations, no hard-selling.
