POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve been thinking about how we respond to people who are hurting in Christian spaces. Often times, the way people are handled in their most vulnerable moments can cause a wedge in between them and God when God never even intended for you to handle them in that way.

Sometimes, a person has been praying, fasting, seeking God, and waiting for an answer. They’re still grieving, and they finally feel comfortable enough to tell someone what they’re experiencing.

The response they receive can leave them feeling as though their pain is a spiritual problem, when sometimes it is a practical problem and not a reflection of their faith or something bad they’ve done.

David asked God how long he would feel forgotten (Psalm 13:1–2). Job expressed the depth of his suffering (Job 3:1–3). Jeremiah lamented his circumstances (Jeremiah 20:14–18). Jesus wept at Lazarus’s tomb (John 11:35).

And in Job 2:11–13, Job’s friends initially sat with him in silence for seven days because of the severity of his suffering. Their later attempts to explain his circumstances became part of the problem (Job 42:7–8).

Do we know how to sit with someone who is hurting? Can we listen without immediately offering an explanation? Can we allow someone to express their grief without making assumptions about their faith?

Before you offer an explanation or correct their response, check your heart. If the Holy Spirit isn’t within what you are about to say or do, then don’t.

Hey, you! Before you scroll …

My name is Santana (@hellosantanaco ) and I am the proud host of the Dear God, Lettuce Pray podcast.

This podcast was founded on one thing :
I am tired of weaponized scripture, churchy fillers, surface-level theology, and just not having a safe space for genuine conversations.

The audience here isn’t according to whether or not you go to church. There’s no pre screen on your level of faith (or lack thereof) and most definitely … no fear mongering people to hell.

I began this podcast in 2024 and the end of 2025 kicked off season two. In this season, it’s a personal duty of mine to increase visibility to reach more people that want to have the conversation.

So for the month of June, I am seeking 100 new listeners that want to be a part of building this foundation! It costs you nothing to support right now. I just ask that you check out the show, give the Dear God, Lettuce Pray podcast a follow on Apple Podcasts @applepodcasts and YouTube @youtube

We have twelve more days of this month that we can make this happen!

It’s a place to pull up a chair and simply chat. I am still on a journey myself and I share that journey openly with my listeners. Let’s learn and growth together !

Purple is power, purpose, and presence. It has long been connected to royalty, wisdom, ambition, creativity, and spirituality. When a woman wears purple, she is not just wearing a color, she is wearing confidence, strength, and a reminder that she does not have to shrink herself for anyone.

Purple stands out without begging for attention. It carries softness and strength at the same time, and that is what makes it so powerful. Women should wear purple because it reflects boldness, dignity, self-worth, and the kind of energy that says, “I know who I am.” Thank you for telling me to wear the color purple @vanessalin312 💜

Persistence will get you what you want, but consistency is what helps you keep it. That goes for healing, success, love, peace, business, and growth. A lot of people can show up once. The real difference is in who keeps showing up.

There is something powerful about building what you once prayed for, needed, or wished existed for you. Sometimes the healing isn’t just in receiving it — it’s in becoming the person who creates it for somebody else.

That’s what purpose feels like to me. Taking my pain, my lessons, my growth, and turning it into something that can reach beyond my own life. Something that can pour into other people, remind them they are seen and valued, and let them know they are not alone.

Manifestation changed my life because it changed the way I speak over my life.

I had to learn that every problem does not deserve my fear, my doubt, or my defeat. Now, I speak positivity into problems. I speak truth into lies. I speak peace into chaos. I speak abundance where lack once lived. I speak healing where pain tried to make a home. I speak confidence even when insecurity tries to creep in. That does not mean life is always easy. It means I no longer let hard moments have the final word.

For me, manifestation is not just about wishing for better. It is about aligning my words, my mindset, and my actions with the life I am praying for and working toward. I had to stop speaking negativity over myself. I had to stop repeating fear. I had to stop agreeing with every bad thought that crossed my mind. What you constantly speak, you start to believe. What you believe, you start to live.

When I changed the way I thought and the way I spoke, I started to see changes in my life. Not overnight, but little by little. My mindset got stronger. My peace got deeper. My confidence grew. My vision became clearer. I stopped giving so much power to what was going wrong and started giving more energy to what I wanted to grow.

Are you using manifestation to change your life, or are you waiting around to see what will happen next?
