✨ Third Thursday just keeps getting better! 🎉

One of our favorite parts of every Third Thursday is seeing Mississippi Ave come alive with incredible local vendors! From fresh cinnamon rolls and handcrafted woodworking to premium home cleaning services and so much more, there’s always something new to discover around every corner.

For July, we were excited to host as many vendors as we could throughout the street inside and around our participating businesses, creating even more reasons to explore, shop small, and connect with our community!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support these amazing local makers and small businesses, we can’t wait to do it all again next month! ❤️

👇 Be sure to show these incredible vendors some love (comment below if we missed you and we’ll get you tagged)

Sometimes people you met when they were 18 pull you in close to be a part of their big love fest. On those days (or in those weekends) you rediscover just how brilliant they are, how much they’ve taught you (and will continue teaching you), and how easy it is to say “I love you!” “I adore you!” “I see you.” and all manner of things no one else would understand your saying to them.

Thank you @amberlyvorr & @craiggracias for giving me the gift of a lifetime. I am absolutely in awe of the beautiful community you’ve grown & feel so fortunate to be a part of it!

Craig, I can’t believe how many years I lived without knowing how much I loved you and Amberly, I’ve celebrated (and been warmed by) your bright light since @qonnor introduced us.

I believe I was put on this earth to celebrate people and the days I get to do this (which is every one) are the best ever.

However you can today, find someone to celebrate. Even for breathing is plenty!

I'm pretty sure I'm missing tons of common questions, but here's a few to start with. If you can think of anything else, ask away!

If you're new here hi!
Forager Vintage is a cozy little vintage & gift shop in Beaverton. It's run by a small team of 4, and we carry both secondhand goods, and gifts from dozens of artists and makers.

We're just a few minutes away from Portland, and surrounded by lots of good food spots! If you're ever in the area, stop by and say hi!

Day 23.
76% fewer minors are now being trafficked for sex in one South Asian city, and that change didn’t happen by accident.

When IJM began working in this city in 2000, tens of thousands of people, more than a third of them children, were being trafficked into red-light districts, often lured by false job promises and trapped through violence and abuse.

Today, thanks to strong partnerships with local authorities, 634 minors have been freed and 113 traffickers have been convicted. Proof that when communities and justice systems work together, real change is possible.

Trafficking thrives in silence, but conversations, compassion, and action can break that cycle. I’m dressing with purpose this month to raise awareness and funds for IJM’s life-changing work.

If you’re with me, join my Dressember campaign and donate today to help protect survivors and create lasting change. Link in bio.

Did we tell you we have a new sewing class starting October 29. Mary Iris teaches you how to use and how to choose industrial machines. She’s a production manager so she knows. We call her MIG. Stands to reason. Those machines are fast!

I was able in one hour to make our zero-waste Edie Dress (PFI pattern #5180). And it even has pockets!

Curious? Click link in bio for Sewing Classes 🌟

Machines:
Juki lockstitch
Pfaff overlock
Juki safety stitch
Consew blind stitch
Kansai coverlock
Juki double needer
Juki walking foot (great for leather & bags)
Juki buttonholer

Mig can handle your hems or your Homecoming dress. She will do fittings by appointment at the shop on Wednesday. Make an appointment at her website. (It doesn’t have to be something you bought here. )

She also holds fitting at these amazing Beaverton resale shops: @foragervintagepdx and @thevaultvintageboutique
