Behind the lens of a camera, Henrik Spranz, a software developer by day, reveals a world that few of us ever see. From the grand landscapes of his early travel photography, Spranz has delved into the intricate microcosms of the natural world. His journey as a photographer is a testament to the human capacity for wonder, as he shifts his gaze from the vastness of the cosmos to the delicate intricacies of a single blade of grass.

Caption this, what is this alpine marmot really thinking? Captured perfectly by @henrik_spranz with the SIGMA 150-600mm!

"A caterpillar of a swallowtail butterfly in the early morning. This photo is a part of a series where I've put insects like butterflies, caterpillars and mantids on a glamorous stage using accessories giving a special bokeh. All achieved in-camera without digital manipulation."

Who’s a fan of trying something out of your comfort zone? Well, last night I had great fun trying something completely new, capturing the sunset with some common blue butterflies in the Dorset long grasses. Apparently these female blue’s are normally pretty shy, but I enjoyed a few hours with this one, watching the sunset as she nestled in for the night. Which one’s your favourite?
