An internal sense of steadiness will completely change your life. In classes right now, we are inspired by sutra 2.46 of the Yoga Sutras: “sthira-sukham asanam” ✨ Which translates to: “Postures (asana) [should be] stable (sthira) and comfortable (sukha)” More generally, Patanjali’s instruction here is about becoming established in a steady space. Yet This steadiness is a kind of metaphysical home within us. Through practice we cultivate an internal refuge wherein we can navigate both the beauty and sorrow that life inevitably entails. 🌸 We can be touched by the magnificence of the world deeply and feel the joys of those we love as our joys, without jealousy or judgment. Then equally we can turn to face the difficulties that arise in our life and the lives of those dear to us. We bear witness to the difficulties that arise with tenderness. Practice has brought us these gifts and so much more. It didn’t happen overnight, this sense of abiding in ease and steadiness is not a permanent place you arrive! It is a sensibility, a felt experience that arises through nurturing our inner world. Keep practicing 🧡 Want to study with us? ⚡️ Get 21 days of unlimited yoga for $69 Our teachers are amazing: @henry.moves @kerryholborow @dimithiraj @elena_pinto @yogaxtrish @hayleyhailes_yoga @ambarchandrayoga @flowmotionyogawithsimon @carabradbury @ericschwarzyoga @saamiren @_stephen_byrne_ #perthyoga #yogasutra #yogapractice #steady

Our ocean-centered culture is all about meaningful relationships, place-based ocean stewardship and recreational freediving as relationship to self, others - and our wider, expanded self that knows the sea as mother, father, teacher, friend or ‘self’. Our @blueback.freediving.yoga freediving community functions as an ecosystem based on synchronous, embodied relations and reciprocity - so I hope you feel drawn to the water or hear this calling to be a part of our upcoming monthly FREE ocean-placed freediving day this SUNDAY 15 FEB, 7AM - 10:30/11AM. All welcome (confident swimming ability & good general health essential). Bring your freediving equipment, and our Blueback team will guide us on a shared experience in the sea. If you’re new to the Blueback community please also register for this event via text to 0439770038 (Tania, Blueback founder). Meeting at 7am at the South Beach Dog Beach, at the bench under the pines by the Fremantle Sailing Club breakwater (a 1km long rock groyne that is next to (south) the sailing club). Please RSVP via the Facebook event to help us cater for food & ocean safety management. With thanks to our event sponsor - local ocean outfitters @adrenofreediving. You’ll enjoy 20% off SALT gear in store & online and 10% off store wide and online as part of our local community supporting freedivers to feel safe, comfy and equipped for our ocean adventure #bluemind #bluebackfreediving #bluebackfreedivingandyoga #theseainsiders #feelalivefreedive
