POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Something I haven't shared before. Last year in October I joined a team of world class highliners from around the world to help rig the new world record for the world's longest highline at 4km (2.5mi) long across the desert of Utah near Moab.

The project took 5 days culminating in @da_logster successfully crossing the line into the night under the full moon. Originally I was only supposed to come and document the project but quickly I became a member of the rigging team and my hands were on webbing just as much as on my camera.

I had the opportunity to write and help curate this story for @utahlifemag in the Aug/Sept print issue. Told through my own experience of the project and filled with unique characters and adventure.

Thanks to @da_logster for leading this project and for everyone on the team that made this project a reality, (see tags on each page). It was also my privilege to meet and spend time with the legendary Andy Lewis, who sadly passed away earlier this year, but who had helped create everything this sport is today.

Beyond grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team and proud to finally put this story to page for readers to enjoy.

We’re stoked to have @_slackademic_ joining us this year at @jackalopefest ! When we team up with events, we do our best to facilitate slackline clinics or a slack park with beginner and intermediate lines, giving the general public a chance to try it for themselves!
•
Invest in those around you and support the next generation 🤘🔥
None of us at @unchartedlines or @_slackademic_ would be here if it weren’t for the individuals who went out of their way to show us

|𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙁𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 2025|
Throwback to May 2025, when we co-hosted the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 with @slacklineus ! Huge shoutout to all the volunteers who made this happen, couldn’t have done it without ya!
•
Just got this digital copy of the paper, and while it has a few errors in it, what a beautiful piece to remember this competition by. Huge thanks to all the athletes who made the trek out into the Rocky Mountains, y’all are what made this event what it was🙏
•
Creating opportunities and opening doors for the community is something we try our best to do with every project, and this comp was a huge first step for all of us involved. What a success it was overall! 🙌🔥
•
Can’t wait to share what UL has in store for 2026- we think the community is gonna be pretty stoked. More to come in the next month, but before then, we’re heading back to Lake City this weekend to perform again at their Ice Climbing Competition 🧊🧗‍♂️
@lakecityiceclimbs @lakecityco

With big lines, some moments feel easy and others don’t, and that’s just part of it. You learn to expect the unknown, stay willing to adapt, and trust the process anyway.
•
Honestly, this was one of the best sessions highlining has to offer, and personally one of my favorites. There’s something unreal about believing in yourself and your crew, even when you’re not totally sure it’s the “right” answer in the long run… but you know enough, you’ve planned enough, and you give it a go
•
And the truth is, the difficulties are what make you stronger. Working through the challenges together is its own kind of dance and when it clicks, it’s a damn beautiful one. You’ve gotta stay composed, focused, and calm in the middle of the adversity, and that’s where the growth happens
•
This line had its moments, like every big line does but damn, was it a beautiful experience. And an even more stunning line!
