This beauty arrived in the mail today.
A masterpiece, created with tons of love and artistry by my wonderful Psychopomp mentor Megan Desrosiers from @herbal_bones_art.
And the magical 'extra': I won it, thanks to her and Mistletoe, one of the many poisonous plants Megan brought to life in the book with her paintings and poems. Delightful, enchanting, touching.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, dear Megan! 🙏🏻💜💀🌿
PS: It went under my pillow now to be closer to my ear when the plants are whispering to me in my dreams... ✨🌿💀🐝

🌿 To growth. To sanctuary. To community. 🌿

As the season ripens around us, we pause in deep gratitude for this growing circle — for each soul who has gathered in the name of healing, creativity, and connection. Living Kula was planted with the hope of nurturing a space where we could root into nature, honor our inner rhythms, and remember the medicine of community.

Together, we move, breathe, create, and restore.
We witness the ever-evolving processes of life — the blossoming, the releasing, the returning.

Here’s to protecting what is sacred — the Earth, each other, and the wild sanctuaries within us.
Here’s to showing up — again and again — with open hearts, muddy hands, and inspired minds.

Thank you for being part of this living, breathing kula. 💛
We’re so glad you’re here.

As herbalists or herb-curious folks, we're taught to avoid poisonous plants -- and with good reason!

They aren't plants to mess with. They can literally kill you.

But... what if there were ways to work with these plants safely? Spoiler alert: There are!

And today's guest, Megan Desrosiers @herbal_bones_art speaks all about it.

As you might imagine, this is NOT physical plant medicine. This is more energetic, spirit level plant medicine.

According to Megan, it can be profoundly supportive and even transformational working with the energetic imprints of specific poisonous plants.

They can support "underworld journeys" facing the things many of us tuck away, and help us to release old patterns and even enhance ancestral lineage healing.

There's so much here, and we speak about plants like datura, foxglove, lily-of-the-valley, poison ivy and more.

Whether or not this path calls to you, I hope this episode offers a glimpse into one way of exploring some of the shadow parts that can be keys to our greater healing journeys... and perhaps inspires you to go connect with a plant today (or soon), too.
