ONE WEEK TO GO! We’re officially one week away from the DOUEN Community Screening at @afisilvertheatre on November 1st! Single tickets are sold out, but a limited number of group tickets are still available. This screening is also a fundraiser to help cover event expenses and support DOUEN’s future distribution. As an independent filmmaker, I couldn’t bring this film to the theater without the support of so many people. To everyone who has purchased tickets, contributed to our crowdfunding campaign, donated through Women in Film and Video, shared a post, sent well wishes, or simply supported this journey in your own way — THANK YOU! ❤️ And to those asking when DOUEN will come to your city or country, thank you for wanting to see it! Getting the film into more theaters takes funding, and every contribution helps us move closer to that goal. Want to help us get there? Visit the link in my bio to purchase available group tickets or make a tax-deductible donation through @wifvdc, our fiscal sponsor. One week to go! I can’t wait to share this story with you. A special thank-you to our sponsors, community partners, project supporters, gift bag sponsors, and everyone helping bring this screening to life. ❤️🙏🏿 From supporting the event to bringing Caribbean culture to the evening through steelpan, Moko Jumbie, and dance, you’re helping make this more than a film screening. You’re helping us create an experience and share our culture with the community. I appreciate every one of you! ❤️ Music: “IzWE” by @kesthebandofficial ft. @etiennejazz & @laventille_rhythm_section_ #DOUENMovie folklore #TrinidadAndTobago #Horror #AlysciaCunningham
