Almost 10 years ago, we started Broadway for Arts Education with a little music program in India and a handful of Broadway artists. I never could have imagined where that dream would take us!
From NYC to India and now MOROCCO! 🇲🇦❤️

Incredible students, an inspiring new partnership with Project Soar, and a community that welcomed us with open arms and quickly became family. I am so incredibly grateful.

So much love and gratitude to Laura Melchor, Grandpa Greg, Brittany Stone, Ben Houghton & Skie Ocasio, and our extraordinary Broadway team of the incomparable Ali Ewoldt, two of my beloved students, Vishal Vaidya, Jenny Mollet, and 3 new amazing friends, Morgan Anita Wood, Josh Daniel, and Mat Hostetler. Some of the most beautiful talents and humans I have had the pleasure to meet!

Years ago I offhandedly mentioned that I frequently poke around eBay and such to see if I can find the only historical item I would love to actually own: one of the counter-culture “Frodo Lives” pins from the 60s. I think there’s actually proof of me talking about this on @tolkienaboutpod explaining it’s a culmination of anti-war sentiment and the resurgence of the popularity of LOTR following its reprinting in paperback. Anyway, the point being, I’ve both expressed this desire and also had kinda given up on ever finding one. But @heyjoshdaniel found one, in a twist of bizarre train travel kismet, and got it for me. I could explain how this makes me feel but also @mcscan had the foresight to have his camera out so I guess you can see for yourself. In the full video I think I say “I wish my bangs weren’t pinned back” like twenty times, but also, this was a huge surprise and I was about to get ready for bed!!! Can you believe @heyjoshdaniel remembered that I wanted this!?!? My best friend!! The very best friend in the world!!!!! And I cannot believe the pin was made on St Marks in New York where I spent so, so many formative young adult hours. It all feels surreal. So, now I have an answer for “most treasured possession” in a very One Ring kind of way. And that’s how my trip to New York was! 👼

I will never forget how much I’ve learned and grew throughout this camp. This is the best way to end my summer!! (I sang “Disneyland from Smile”)

PRINGLE AND FINN, THE MUSICAL! 🐧 The children’s book based on our wedding invitations is being developed into a musical with incredibly talented Broadway performers like @greyhenson @heyjoshdaniel and @broadwaystarikelly 🥰 IS THIS REAL LIFE?? We have so much more exciting news to share with you in the coming days and weeks but for now let’s all do a HAPPY DANCE with Paul!! (And I promise I won’t hit him with a ball again) 😂🐧🐧
