REGINAAAA!!! 🤯❤️ HOW did I not know this restaurant existed?! Follow @malzvlogs for more food finds like this!

From the incredibly juicy Koobideh and Darbari kebabs to the fall-off-the-bone lamb shank, every single dish was bursting with flavour! 🤤🔥

And can we PLEASE talk about the BAKLAVA?! 😭❤️ We loved it so much that we packed some to take home, and we were craving it again the very next day!

But what made this experience even more special was the hospitality. The owners are such wonderful hosts, and you can genuinely feel the warmth, love, and passion in the way they welcome you and serve their food. ❤️

Marcelin Fall Supper | Marcelin, SK 📍

Last weekend, Mr C and I attended the annual fall supper in Marcelin! Lots of delicious homemade food and a huge variety of desserts to choose from! 🤤 Mr C’s mom was one of the many wonderful people who contributed their time and baking skills to the dessert spread! 😋

For those who aren’t familiar, fall suppers are a longstanding tradition in many small Saskatchewan communities, usually held around harvest season.

It’s a time when community members come together to prepare and serve a homemade feast for everyone to enjoy! These suppers are often organized by local churches or community groups, with proceeds going towards supporting the community.

This year, I got a tiny sneak peek behind the scenes, and there’s definitely a lot more work involved than just serving food! From constantly preparing and heating up dishes to washing dishes and keeping everything running smoothly, there’s always something happening!

And it’s not just about the food either! There were raffle draws, a 50/50, and even a little “fishing pond” game where the little ones could win prizes! 🎣

But beyond the delicious food, it’s about bringing people together, keeping small-town traditions alive, and appreciating the hard work that goes into putting food on our tables.

With harvest season wrapping up, it’s also a little reminder of how much time, effort, and dedication goes into farming. A big thank you to all the hardworking farmers and farm families who help keep food on our tables! ❤️🌾

Interested in attending a fall supper? You can find more happening in small towns across Saskatchewan by checking Facebook for upcoming events! 🍂

The Greens Kitchen | Saskatoon, SK 📍

A vegetarian restaurant serving Vietnamese-inspired and other Asian dishes! 🌱 What I found especially interesting is that their story goes back to a family-run vegetarian restaurant in Vietnam, with years of experience and passion behind their cooking! 🇻🇳

I walked in with the mentality of “I’m not THAT hungry, but I could use a meal.” Well, that quickly changed after my first bite of the eggplant! 🤣

The Eggplant Unagi Rice Bowl (weekly special item) was SO good that I found myself scarfing down my meal! The eggplant was beautifully charred, packed with flavour, and paired perfectly with the plain rice. The addition of furikake was such a nice touch too, adding even more flavour and a little extra crunch to an already delicious dish! 🤤

As much as I wanted to finish everything, I decided not to overindulge and saved about half for supper. That way, I could enjoy it all over again later! 🤭

The Fried Fruit Spring Rolls were another pleasant surprise! Filled with mango, water chestnuts, pear, and apple, they were such a unique combination! Perfectly crispy on the outside with a soft, juicy, and fruity filling on the inside. They came with a spicy mayo dipping sauce that complemented them beautifully! Honestly, they’d probably be just as good without the sauce, but I liked how it balanced out the fried exterior! 🤣

The service was incredible too! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. They checked in at just the right times without being intrusive, and their warm smiles made the whole experience even more enjoyable! ❤️

Delicious food, wonderful service, and an experience that left me wanting more!

I’ll definitely be back! 💚
