Been in my feels all week. It’s been a lot of feelings to process. But every time I hear this audio, I can’t help but think about how beautiful my life is regardless of the bad that happens. My family, amazing. My friends, the best. Life isn’t always perfect but that’s the journey right.

QOTD: What are the 3 books you’d choose as your 3 stranded island books?! I’d love to hear them!

✨ Inspired by the @andi.reads1010 prompt yesterday which was beach reads — I felt like taking it a step further & go with the 3 books I’d take with me on a deserted island! The way this world has been feeling lately… I’m not gonna lie… I would not necessarily hate this idea 🤪 but it TRULY wouldn’t be so bad if we got stranded together! Reading retreat, anyone?✨

This week flew by so fast! And I’m still reeling from last week. Can we rewind and go back to the BK event?! Because it’s all I’ve been thinking about all week!

It’s been a really great reading week. I finished two books this week, Sounds Like Love by Ashley Poston and A Killer Kind Of Romance by Letizia Lorini. Loved them both! Killer kind of romance was absolutely hilarious!!! And Rafael?! Top tier book boyfriend you guys!!! Read it!!!

Is it even a trip to Anaheim if you don’t stop at @heartboundbookshop ?! As you can see, I still can’t over this past weekend. So much laughter, good people and good times were had! And I got books out of it?!

I have to say a huge thank you to @hideyourspoonsreads and Mister Spoons for waking up earlier than normal and dropping what they were doing for an impromptu meet at Heartbound! And for my books!!! Skate It Till You Make It by Rufaro Faith Mazarura was Mister Spoons pick and The Ex-Perimento was Fer’s. And I’m excited. I already had Fer’s pick on my tbr but not Mister Spoon’s pick! And I had to grab Masters of Fine Hearts by @krystapaeauthor because it sounds phenomenal and you always gotta support your Hawai’i girlies!!!

It’s Sunday!!! You know what that means!!! Happy Shout Out Sunday guys!!! But a little different because yesterday was so chaotic with the B.K Borison event that there was no time for What This Week. So we’re just gonna smoosh them together!!

One of my favorite things about bookstagram is the connections we make. And author events are such place to make connections and meet people and yesterday’s BK event was such a fun time. We made a weekend of it and had a blast!!! Cannot wait to do more author events and meet more of you in the wild!

Happy Friday and HAPPY GALENTINE’S DAY BESTIES!!!!🥰💘💘💘what a lovely day to fall on a Friday🥹I’m going to try not to get to emo and sappy because I absolutely will cry but I am so thankful for all the incredible friendships in my life and that I’ve made in this community🥹🥹it can be rough not having a partner this time of year but it bothers me so much less knowing I have such amazing friends that show me love every single day💘I wanted to put together a few book stacks that start with the first initial of some of my friends’ names just to show them some love❣️❣️I have my book club friends, my IG friends, and then my IRL friends🥰they’re all alphabetical because I love everyone😤😤I tried to match each friend with a book that fits their vibe in my head, but some of them I did not have a lot of options for so we rolled with it😂I wish I could tell you about each one😭and I’m sure I’ve forgotten some amazing friends I’ve met on here as well and I’m so sorry if I missed you but just know I appreciate the kindness and love everyone has shown to me🥹🥰❣️okay enough sappiness!!! Yesterday was my Nanay’s birthday. The first one she spent in heaven instead of here with us. It was a pretty somber day. Lots of reflection. And so for today’s Shoutout Sunday, I wanted to thank a few of my friends that really helped me thru her passing her last year. Don’t get me wrong, this entire fucking community… I felt the love from this entire fucking community. But these angels of mine, I think my Nanay sent them to remind me of the absolute good in the world. So I just want to love extra hard on them today!

Also, just realized I miss last week’s Shoutout Sunday 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anyway, who’s watching the Superbowl today?! I don’t really do sports, so I’m a “hear the food” type of girl. Meaning, I’m gonna stuff myself silly full of food… promptly pass out and wake up in time for Bad Bunny. So tell me, who do think is taking home all the marbles today?! I’m not saying who I think will win because then they’re gonna lose. I’ve been trying to act super nonchalant about the whole thing. But if you’re a Seahawks fan, I apologize in advance 🤣

In this thanksgiving season, there’s many things I’m thankful for. I’m so thankful and grateful for all my wonderful bookstafriends that this little corner of the internet has brought into my life. 🥰
