Yorkshire’s wine story keeps growing. 🍇🍷

From Leventhorpe’s first planting in 1985, the region now has approximately 125 acres (around 51 hectares) under vine, producing over 100,000 bottles a year.

This slide brings together 19 vineyard sites: a guide to the passionate growers and beautiful places shaping Yorkshire wine.

Since moving here from Italy, I’ve loved discovering this community, one glass at a time.

The Movement Edit x High Cayton Vineyard

Yesterday, Lauren and myself had one the most incredible mornings we could have wished for.

Our little venture The Movement Edit went to a whole new level holding its second event in the most beautiful location @highcayton.

We are honestly overwhelmed with the turn up and these events just keep getting better and better.

We LOVE our community 💕

Yorkshire Wine & Fizz Festival - Part 2!

Kicking off with @knotfieldvines and their fantastic traditional method fizz - having seen this online it was my first port of call, and it absolutely delivered. So much so we simply had to dive in to a bottle on the day.

Next up was @goose_beck_vineyard - the vineyard closest to home, serving out their debut commercial production. These wines were beautiful, their rondo rose a true show stealer - I had to bring a bottle home with me, and I'll be sure to be visiting their vineyard soon!

A very special mention for @highcayton - this lovely mother and daughter duo making their debut too. Their bacchus as stunning as their branding - a real stand out for flavour and body. So impressed, I've ordered myself a box for delivery!

@malton_vineyard - home of the absolutely delightful Viv and Phill. We loved learning about their vineyard, offering intimate exclusive tours. These guys were so friendly and their wine was delicious. We enjoyed a perfectly chilled bottle on the day - gorgeous notes of apples and lemon citrus, super freshing in the heat.

Next up we swung by @littlewoldvineyard - honestly I could have come away with a bottle of everything. We opted for a lush bottle of Poppy Hill Rose, and I've brought home a bottle of their sparkling rose - my word on the day was 'glorious' and I stand by it!

Finally headed East to @laurelvinesvineyard where we loved the silky, delicate Pinot Noir Rose, and walked away with a bottle of Barn Owl Red - which was our little gem of the day. So much flavour layered into a light bodied wine, making it the perfect summer drinking red.

I am still blown away by the wines on offer, Yorkshire wine really has been firmly put on the map. As a Yorkshire Lass, I am so excited to celebrate these wonderful producers and raise a glass to them. Yorkshire is one to watch!

Rounding off English Wine Week in the best way possible at Yorkshire Wine & Fizz Festival @yorkshire_heart 🥂

An amazing line up of eleven producers with wines for every palate. I tried new releases, old favourites and was even tempted away from sparkling by a few very special still wines.

Now in its third year, the Yorkshire Wine & Fizz Festival has gone from strength to strength. Live music enhanced the festival vibe and there was a wide range of food available (I can never resist a cheese platter 😋)

Must also shout out the Solaris Orange Wine from @yorkshire_heart

Following the ROSA Botanical Art Fair at West Dean, a selection of my paintings will continue with David Simon Contemporary as part of the exhibition In Full Bloom.

These works have grown from the garden and the studio together—flowers shifting between form and dissolution, light moving across layered surfaces, moments held briefly before they pass.

Here’s a look into the inspiration behind “VITIS: UMBRA” (Vine: Shade)

Vines and dark grapes rest in shadow as light slips across their surfaces. Gold emerges softly—not to dominate, but to reveal, allowing the abundance of the vine to surface slowly, with reverence and restraint.

🥂🥂The Great Yorkshire Wine & Fizz Festival 2026 🥂🥂

Brought to you by the Yorkshire Vineyard Community, as part of our joint celebrations of English wine week, on Saturday 27th June 2026.

This event will be hosted at Yorkshire Heart Vineyard, starting at 1pm for a 2 hour inclusive wine tasting, This is where you will get your branded festival glass and work your way around the vineyard bars chatting to the owners and wine makers whilst tasting the award winning wines on offer.
Then from 3pm until 9pm you can buy wines by the glass or bottle to enjoy on the lawns whilst listening to the live music on offer.

There will also be food and full bar available during the event.

Camping is also available in the camping field, tents, camper vans, motor homes and caravans all welcome.
