I’ve never seen another one of these.

This is an original KOEI Kessen II promotional clear file for PlayStation 2, from the 2001 era, featuring the game’s incredible character artwork.

I personally acquired this at an Electronics Boutique Store Manager Conference during the original PS2 launch era — and it has remained unused and preserved in its original sleeve for more than 25 years.

The game itself is well known to PS2 collectors.

But obscure promotional pieces like this?

That’s where the forgotten history gets really interesting.

I’ve never personally seen another Kessen II clear file like this surface.

Have you?

This 1999 PlayStation exclusive was one of the earliest 3D auto-runners 🏃years before Temple Run. You literally can’t stop moving. Just pure speed!💨Fast, chaotic, and way more fun than a soda mascot game has any right to be. Japan-only cult classic that still slaps.💿🕹️🔥
And I love its music too!🎶🕺😆

One of the rarest pieces in my collection just found its new home 💎
This is one of only 100 signed copies of The Art of Metal Gear Solid by Yoji Shinkawa (1999) never sold, only given out through a lottery. Holding something this special always felt like a privilege, and now it’s going to a collector who will truly cherish it.
To my wonderful friend @highwind1986 … thank you for being the kind of person who makes letting go feel right. I love knowing my pieces are ending up with the right people 🤝😊

In 2001, McDonald's Japan partnered with Sony for a Happy Meal promotion featuring four PlayStation mascots — PaRappa the Rapper, Toro the cat, Piposaru from Ape Escape, and a Chocobo (from Final Fantasy).

McDonald's also distributed a PS2 demo disc containing modified builds of PaRappa the Rapper 2 and Piposaru (Ape Escape) 2001, with McDonald's food items integrated into the gameplay.

Last slides show a “not for sale” limited promotional box of the full set (images sourced via @highwind1986). Also check out @keep5alive.official and @anyware.shop for more cool retro toys and collectibles!
