POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last month I traveled to Portland, Maine to second shoot the most gorgeous wedding for @alileighco and lucky for us, @hihilolo.co rented us on of her camcorders to commemorate the trip 🫶🏻 Lo is a literal wizard and actually turned our hodgepodge of recordings into one of the most fun memories of the entire trip. She’s a queen.

that led me here
the choices,
the turns,
the questions, and the answers that revealed themselves along the way.

The Path | The Language of Hair Vol. 3 explores the journey of my career and what led me to see hair as an art form. From moving to New York City, to diving in, adjusting, investing, and following what called me forward.

With gratitude for the mentors, clients, and spirit that guided me here.❤️✨✨

I can only hope that you too are following your dreams,
Kelsy

September 1st 🤍

Well, somehow we’re here. 🥹 Before I jump into this next chapter, I thought it was time to properly introduce myself - especially for all the new faces here, and for the sweet friends who have been following along from the beginning when this was just an account to buy & sell clothes for my boys.

I’m Hayley — mom to two little boys, lover of all things beautiful and well-made, and the person behind Wonder & Worn. And if you’ve been into the shop before, there’s a good chance you’ve already met my tiniest little sidekick ❤️

After 12 years of wedding photography, becoming a mom shifted my perspective and slowly led me toward something a little closer to home - something rooted in motherhood, community, creativity, and all the little things that make childhood so special.

For years, my best friends and I have talked about how fun it would be to create something like this together someday. So when this opportunity unexpectedly fell into my lap, it somehow just made sense. And naturally, I thought… why not add one more thing to my plate? 😂 This transition happened quickly, but in so many ways, it has also been a long time coming.

Wonder & Worn is a little bit of everything I love - thoughtful toys and gifts, beautiful children’s clothing, pre-loved treasures ready for another chapter, and hopefully a little bit of magic around every corner.

We’re not quite ready to open our doors just yet - there’s still a little work happening behind the scenes, but we are very, very close. 🧸

I can’t wait to welcome you, your littles, and your families into this space and share this crazy, sweet new chapter with you. 🤍

It starts with the walk from the house to the sauna. Cold enough that you can see your breath. Ends about two hours and four lake jumps later, wrapped in a robe on the porch, not saying much of anything.

30 acres. Quiet lake. Cedar sauna. Forest trails. Sleeps 8. Dogs welcome.

Our next open weekend is the Indigenous People’s Day holiday, Oct. 9-12. Comment MIDMOD for the direct booking link.

I love the art of hair and how it moves ~~~

Grounded in the study of hair, nature and change, I explore spiritual and physical textures through lived experience and diverse environments.

Studying hair as its own character, I am compelled to track its natural ebbs and flows and ways of interacting with the elements.

I am intoxicated by the way hair is constantly evolving alongside our ceaselessly shifting climate, and how hair maintains an ever-changing interaction with its environment.

Come see me for a (hair) movement session.
You’ll feel the difference ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

SLICKback ROPEbraid 🌊
For all you loves that wanted a step by step, here you go! It’s my favorite summer wet set. It’s chic and so easy. Love that combo. Enjoy!!

Xo,
Kelsy

How to achieve this look ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
1. Start with damp hair.
Your hair should be wet, but not dripping.

2. Brush to prep.
Using the Harklinikken Hair Brush, thoroughly brush your hair to smooth and prepare it for styling. The fine boar bristles create an especially sleek finish while also supporting overall scalp and hair health.

3. Apply Harklinikken Styling Gel.
Work about a quarter-sized amount evenly throughout your hair. Be sure to coat the underbelly of your hair—not just the surface—so every strand is covered. This helps prevent the hair from expanding as it dries and creates a longer-lasting shape.

4. Add Le Doux Mousse Def. Texture Foam
Apply two pumps (or more if your hair is coarse or very dense). Start around the hairline, sides, and crown, then distribute the remaining product throughout the rest of your hair.

5. Brush into shape.
Brush your hair into your desired slick-back shape. The Harklinikken Hair Brush is especially effective here because it creates a beautifully smooth finish.

6. Refine with your hands.
Gently smooth the surface with your palms, pressing the hair into place to secure the shape before braiding.

7. Create one rope braid.
Starting just behind one ear, make a single rope braid and allow it to dry completely before taking it out. The result is a soft, sculptural wave with polished roots and effortless movement.

If there’s one thing this year has taught me, it’s that no matter how messy things feel behind the scenes, the chaos has a way of creating clarity.

And sometimes that clarity is so undeniable, it naturally reveals the path forward.
