POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our recent gathering for the OCAC community was a big success! Around 50 alumni, faculty, staff, and friends met at the compound of Mardy Widman to share food, stories and current projects.

This event couldn’t have been possible without the efforts of many members of our community, including board members- Karen Christie Fisher, Hilary Pfeifer, Agniezska Zoltowski, alumni-Sue Selbie, April Biracree-Wisowaty, Amy Baker, Steve and especially Shelly Hedges who acted as an on-site coordinator.

We have so much gratitude to Mardy for hosting us 💜

Interested in helping out at our next event? We are looking for a few volunteers to help out at our upcoming holiday sale on November 28th. Contact us at OCAC.alumni@gmail.com if you have a few hours to help our community stay together!

A little glimpse of #BirdsInArt2027 at the @woodsonart museum in Wausau, Wisconsin.

So many beautiful and inspiring works brought together in one exhibition. If you’re anywhere near Wausau, it’s absolutely worth a visit.

On view through January 3, 2027.

Here’s my updated show schedule. It changes all the time! I’ll be local a lot this season so there are plenty of opportunities to find an everyday goodie or a conversation starter.

Stay up to date and join my mailing list (link in LinkTree). For links to these shows, visit the Shows & Events page of my website.

A few details:

// NW Marine Art Works Open Studios //

This is a happening event in. I’m looking forward to being a guest artist this year. Given my style, you can imagine how much I love a gritty industrial backdrop to my work. @nwmarineartworks

// Guilds Bazaar //

This is a series of one-day art events in Director’s Park downtown taking place on the last Wednesday of the month till September and organized by Clay Commons. Ceramics will be there _every_ Wednesday, while the last Wednesday features other craft mediums. Walk only a few blocks and grab produce at the Portland Farmers Market behind the Schnitz and you’ve got yourself some earrings and endive. @claycommonsnet

// Art in the Garden //

Back by popular demand, you can visit 5 NE Portland gardens and find 9 artists’ work. This year I’ll be teaming up at @hilarypfeifer pad. There’s a link on my website to info on participating artists.

Considering applying for Sou’wester Arts Week 2026?
You can apply for free all day January 2nd!

Arts Week 2026 will take place March 8th-16th 2026 at The Sou’wester Lodge in Seaview, WA!

Apply at souwesterlodge.com/artsweek2026

What is Arts Week?
Every March, the Sou’wester hosts over 30 artists and collectives for a weeklong artist residency, culminating in a weekend of performances, installations, and studio tours, open to the public. This annual celebration invites the community to engage with the creative process and connect with artists who bring a new light to the evergreen coast.

The Arts Week 2026 theme is “The Space Between”: There is strength in what moves underneath, in the hush of process, in the soft roots that link us. In a world that keeps us apart, we turn toward the liminal space, a living network of creative crossings. Here we find connection becoming luminous, tender, and deeply alive. This year, we’re extending that spirit of collective creativity into the wider community by hosting showcases at Ilwaco Cider Co. and the Historic Chinook School.

I just made a few more bowls and ornaments for the last sale of the year . Hilary Pfeifer open showroom Dec 13+14 11-4. 4634 NE 19 Ave. PDX. I have known Hilary for 25 years and someone that I have always looked up to. She has been able to support herself as an artist and has done some amazing things with her art work including public art, huge installations and even featured on Oregon Art Beat. @hilarypfeifer and @bunnywithatoolbelt so it is a honor to have some of my functional and holiday gifts alongside her art.

The Artist Series is an ongoing collaboration with invited designers, artists, and writers who create original work for an unusual form: the poster stamp.

We started this as an experiment — to not only collaborate with people whose work we admire, but to also push ourselves to make things we wouldn’t otherwise have tried.

As the series continued to grow and evolve – and as individual stamps began to sell out, we decided to box our last remaining sheets into sets of ten.

This set contains the following sheets:

No. 51: @hilarypfeifer
No. 52: @neuhauspress
No. 53: @lesley_barnes x @therezarowe
No. 54: @sincerelychristinemiller
No. 55: @bananapoons
No. 56: @lisacongdon
No. 57: @ianlynam x @eglif.pascal
No. 58: Art Chantry
No. 59: @kristerpelly
No. 60: @lenajacobs_illustrations

For each edition, we conduct a brief interview with the artist. Those are collected in print for the first time in the form of an exclusive, signed, full-color 48-page info book about each edition in the collection. Packaged in an archival keepsake box.

We hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoyed making them!
