Your childhood is hanging on these walls. ✨ About 10 minutes from Disneyland, the FREE Hilbert Museum lets you get closer to the creativity behind the magic—from Mary Blair’s colorful imagination to Jørgen Klubien’s hand-drawn storyboards for Disney and Pixar favorites. 🏰✏️ We explored it during the museum’s first Disney Fan Day with Mickey Visit, with tours from founder Mark Hilbert and Mary Platt, plus a presentation by Jørgen himself! Save this for your next Orange County outing—and send it to someone who grew up loving these movies. 💛 📍Hilbert Museum of California Art · Orange, CA 📅 “Jørgen Klubien at Disney and Pixar” through November 1, 2026 @hilbertmuseum #hilbertmuseum @jorgenklubien #disneyart #orange @mickeyvisit @chapmanu

FREE Disney + Pixar art exhibit just 11 minutes from Disneyland! 🎨✨ The @hilbertmuseum in Orange has an entire exhibit dedicated to Jørgen Klubien, the acclaimed Disney and Pixar animator and storyboard artist who helped bring your movies like The Lion King, Nightmare Before Christmas, Mulan, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story 2, and so more to life. He even co-created the original Cars storyline! The exhibit features his original storyboards, character sketches, and behind-the-scenes artwork, including storyboards from The Lion King’s iconic “Be Prepared” scene! It’s only on display through November 1, so you have just a couple more weeks to check it out. Admission is completely FREE, but reservations are recommended. I visited during Disney Fan Day, a special event hosted by @hilbertmuseum and @mickeyvisit, and it was the perfect way to experience the exhibit 🎨 Here’s to many more to come! #hosted

From our arrival during a week-long heat wave that changed into a tropical storm, our vacation in Orange, CA, and its environs was a blast. Gigi starred as Celia in Will Shakespeare’s “As You Like It,” updated to a modern American (SoCal) high school setting. Highlights included the Hilbert Museum (a must-see every visit), the new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, a ride on the Surfliner, Southern Cali’s largest stand of redwood trees (just 50+ years old and already more than 90 feet tall), and downtown 🍊!
