$And just like that, the Memorial Park Crit Series comes to a close. 📸🚴‍♂️ This past Wednesday was the final race, and there’s definitely something bittersweet about knowing it’s over. Over the course of this series, I met some truly amazing people, witnessed some incredible racing, and was lucky enough to capture moments that I hope will mean just as much to the riders years from now as they do today. There’s something special about standing behind the lens at a race. Everything happens so fast—the speed, the suffering, the competitiveness, the celebrations, the friendships, and the camaraderie. In the moment, it can all feel like a blur. But that’s one of the things I love most about photography. For a fraction of a second, I get to stop time. Years from now, the races might blend together. The results might be forgotten. But a photograph can bring you right back—to the people you were with, the bike you were riding, the pain in your legs, the smile after the finish, and exactly how that moment felt. Anytime I get to spend even a little time behind my camera, I feel incredibly blessed. Photography has become so much more to me than simply taking pictures. It’s about preserving pieces of people’s lives and giving them something they can hold onto long after the moment itself has passed. To everyone I met, photographed, laughed with, and got to know throughout this series—thank you for allowing me to capture a small piece of your story. The racing may have come to an end, but these moments don’t have to. That’s the beauty of photography. Until next time. 📸🏁$
