POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Our next post on the WiS birthday theme, as we are celebrating 10 years of Women in Street this month, is a look back at our galleries from "Her Side of the Street," a monthly theme tradition that goes back to the origins of WiS in 2016.

Looking back through the kaleidoscope of the many participants who curated, supported, networked, submitted, contributed, collaborated, shared with WiS down through the years, here's a glimpse through the lens of our three color themed galleries.

In the Northern Hemisphere summer is drawing to a close, and with it the #WiS_TShirt is sent back into the drawer until another season!

With this post we launch the Autumn tag #WiS_Style25
Looking for the elements of style as you see them this year–your pictures must be taken in 2025!
Show us the state of style on the streets this year!
Whether candid daily views, or from the sidelines of a fashion event.

Here’s what Claire Brinberg shared with WiS in one of our previous fashion features.

“New Yorkers are a stylish people, but for me the bright birds of Fashion Week present an irresistible contrast to the gritty streets of the city. As much as possible, I like to capture them away from the bustle right outside the shows. My goal is to capture candid photographs of people who’ve shown up to be photographed. It’s tempting to them to pose for me, but the results are inevitably bland and rarely satisfying. And so I’ll spend the week racing across town, trying to cover as much ground as possible (day job permitting). I have never come up empty after a day of show-hopping. The characters, costumes and the rituals are just too plentiful and too delicious.

Everything about Fashion Week is over the top, and amusing juxtapositions abound. See that photo of the glamorous woman in the cobalt jacket? She’s walking past an older man, in a jacket of the same color. She’s being photographed. He’s taking a picture. But he’s the famous one…the late great Bill Cunningham, a legend on the NYC scene. I used to see him at Fashion Week all the time. He didn’t much like being photographed himself, but I couldn’t resist this shot!"

Fall Fashion Week calendar:
New York: Sept. 11–16
London: Sept. 18–22
Milan: Sept. 23–29
Paris: Sept. 29–Oct. 7]
Melbourne: Oct. 20-26

Select #WiS_Style25 features will be on weekends through the fall! Use the tag too for any of your fashion related series, or pictures with comments!
