What a weekend!

Preparing for the EGré pushed me far beyond what I believed I could do as a performer and as a singer, and I’m so incredibly proud of the work that showed up on stage on Saturday. Having the opportunity to witness so many other incredible performances has inspired me to dive deeper into the Canadian music repertoire, and to keep pushing the boundaries of what music is to find out what music can be.

Congratulations to the incredible prize winners @aemiliamoser @kendradyck and @camillemlab for all their wonderful work. So well deserved 🎶✨

The biggest thanks to my pianist @lisa_bree for agreeing to go on this journey with me- rehearsal time constraints and all! I couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you to @megumi.masaki and the other supporters and organizers at Brandon U for their enthusiasm, support, and love for this art form.

Now back north for some rest and return to ‘normal’ life. Looking forward to what the next chapter has in store!

(Please enjoy these little snapshots of the adventure)

Absolutely over the moon after an incredibly inspiring weekend in Brandon, MB for the finals of the Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition. Preparing my program for this was one of the most challenging projects I have ever taken on, and I am THRILLED to have been named the Third Prize winner among these incredible artists from across Canada.

What a joy to have shared this weekend with these amazing finalists, and of course a huge shout out to @aemiliamoser and @kendradyck on their First and Second place wins!

The biggest thanks goes to my incredible pianist, @xuanhehehe. She is a powerhouse of a musician, and it was such a joy to collaborate on all of this crazy/difficult/beautiful/wacky repertoire. I’m so excited that we get to keep making music together this summer as a duo at the Académie Francis Poulenc!

A big thanks as well to @megumi.masaki and the administrative team at the E-gré Competition for creating such an incredible experience for all of us. And also to Monica Whicher and @horstopera for their dedication in helping me prepare this recital!
