As today marks my last day as a Wolf, I’m filled with an overwhelming amount of gratitude. It has been an absolute privilege to lead NSU Strength & Conditioning for the past 4+ years, and I’m incredibly thankful for the people and experiences that have made this chapter so special.

To all of the athletes, past and present, I’ve had the opportunity to work with, thank you. Your hard work, dedication, and constant pursuit of excellence have made me incredibly proud to call myself your coach. Watching you grow, compete, overcome challenges, and become the people you are today has been one of the most rewarding parts of this job.

To my assistants, sport coaches, administrators, athletic trainers, and everyone I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside, it has truly been an honor. You are the people who make NSU Athletics such a special place, and I’m grateful for every relationship, lesson, and memory along the way.

And lastly, thank you to the
Aberdeen community for welcoming my family and me with open arms. Cass, Eddi, and I will miss this community and the people who have made it feel like home more than we can put into words.

While saying goodbye is never easy, I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity ahead and the next chapter of my career. I’m grateful for everything NSU has given me, proud of what we’ve built, and ready to get to work.

No shortcuts. No excuses. Just work.

These kids are learning what it really takes to be great—showing up, pushing through, and getting better every single day. Proud of the commitment they’re putting in behind the scenes.

Big thank you to our strength coaches for investing their time and energy into these athletes. It doesn’t go unnoticed. 💪 @kridelpud @hinds12strength

🐺 Student Spotlight: Daniel Hinds

Meet Daniel Hinds, a graduate student in Northern State University’s Strength and Conditioning program.

Daniel earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College in Orange City, IA, where he also competed in wrestling and coached lifting.

At Northern, Daniel stays deeply involved in the athletic community—coaching wrestling and women’s soccer strength and conditioning, while also assisting with football, softball, and track & field.

Daniel says NSU has impacted him by helping him grow as a coach in an environment filled with driven, hardworking athletes:
“They’re the best.”

Looking ahead, Daniel’s goal is to continue his career as a strength and conditioning coach, whether in the collegiate setting or the private sector.

Go Wolves! 🤘🐺
