Still basking in the afterglow of the ball! The ball didn’t have an official event photographer but a giant thank you to @erikaalamode for taking all these beautiful photos! I tagged the people I could but if I’m missing you, lmk in the comments and I’ll fix it! My dress was designed and made by me, completely, down to the lace embroidered on silk netting on a @babylocksewing Venture. My husband’s gorgeous tuxedo was by @bespokentailoring Also, my apologies. I can’t believe Scarlet Soiree sold out in 25 minutes. I will be announcing a 2028 ball soon!

I had a VERY lovely time during my brief return to Chicago for @sewstine ‘s Le Bal Des Arts! I got to witness the costumes everyone’s worked so hard on, met so many people I’ve admired for a long time, and danced the can-can before the night was over! I’m already so excited to (hopefully) attend her next ball in March 2027! And a special thank you to my photographers, and @ominous_abby for her handmade paper moon! All tagged in their respective photos. - - - #sewing #historicalcostume #historicalsewing #victorianfashion #victorian

It’s been so long since I was last in a fashion show, so what a pleasure it was to walk for @chicagomuseum and @chihistoricalcostuming ‘s 1890’s fashion show! I was honored to participate and everyone looked so amazing! Easily an event for the books 💖💖💖 Photos by @purplephotoco Ensemble by yours truly! - - - #sewing #historicalcostume #historicalsewing #victorianfashion #victorian #19thcentury #1890s #gildedage #artnouveau #fashionhistory

2024 came with a lot of loss and a lot of grief, but it also came with a lot of great memories and time spent with my favorite people ✨ (and like every other year, I forgot to take pictures of most of it)

This year brought so many amazing costuming event experiences! Getting to events from where I live, not to mention just having an open weekend available, is not easy for me. But the stars aligned more times than not this year and I was able to make so many great memories with so many new and old costuming friends! From the 1890’s ball hosted by @chihistoricalcostuming to the 18th century ball hosted by @stlgeorgians and so many gatherings in between, it was definitely a year to remember! I will try to tag everyone but let me know if I need to add you!! #events #historicalevents #historicalcostuming #costume #18thcentury #19thcentury #costumingfriendsarethebest

The @stlgeorgians are such a fun and inspiring group of people! Strolling through the @stlartmuseum on a Sunday morning in our Georgian attire was a blast! We had so many people stop and ask us about our group and costumes and they were all so lovely. I’m looking forward to our next event-plus the ball in October!! #stlgeorgians #historicalcostuming #18thcenturyfashion #18thcentury #regency #regencyfashion #stlouisartmuseum #stlartmuseum

It’s been a while since the @stlgeorgians went someplace pretty and dressed fancy in Georgian costume! So much fun with my peeps at @stlartmuseum ! At least five different groups asked to take our picture or get pictures with us so I started demanding they also take our pictures with my phone, lol. #historicalcostuming #historicalfashion #historicaldress #georgianfashion #georgiandress #eighteenthcentury #eighteenthcenturydress #eighteenthcenturyfashion
