It’s been one whole year since we launched #ITSOKAYTOTRYMAG (just gonna start using this as a # cause I can’t imagine starting another IG in 2026). It has been our own version of trying on display: making a magazine, figuring out printing, advertising, coming back to events after a pause, a lot of communication, miscommunication, then communication again.

Thank you friends near and far, community old and new, to our retailers, to anyone whose bought a magazine, read a piece, told a friend, tried along side us.

Can’t wait to show you what we’ve cooked up with Issue 004 dropping Aug 20, 2026. (Literally in transit from our printer now.)

What actually lasts? 🤔

Yo, I’m always grateful 🙏🏼 These boxes stack up sometimes…not because I don’t care, but because I often overthink about how to show love the right way 🥲 Big ups to the brands, agencies, partners, friends, and folks who trust me with their time, energy, or resources. Whether it’s paid work, support, or just belief, I don’t take any of it lightly.

I’ve learned…being a “creator” is no different than any other work. It’s interaction between humans. If there’s respect, it flows. If it doesn’t click, that’s okay, too. Sometimes you’re just speaking different languages.

Appreciate everyone who keeps showing love. I’ll keep trying to return it.
