Venus Retrograde / Thoughts on Sisterhood / NOT a pregnancy announcement but an announcement of possibility

Quick correction: lol not everyone in the coven was unsure or under resourced but we were def not as bubbly as we were in maidenhood and who cares about that ya?

@corysarg brought together the coolest people for a private picnic in a park on Saturday and it was like slurping from the fountain of youth. And @makespacetherapy @partsandcharts had another offsite ;) and @ashleyyy_abubakar and @breena_fain and us all got to be together for the first time in person 😭😭😭

I didn’t expect to get this emotional walking through it!
Presidential Libraries are always like stepping into a time machine. It’s amazing to remember an era we all lived through together. Natalie, Bob and I recently visited the Obama Presidential Center, and it ended up feeling like much more than a museum visit. Really special to experience this one together in our home town. ❤️

Every family has a car origin story. Here’s ours.🚗

This isn’t about the car. It never was.

1963. My very first car. We named it Hell – and it earned it.

A gift from my stepfather. I felt like a movie star.

The kids’ car. Every scrape has a name attached to it.

We called it the Lego car. You see why.

Bob’s turn. This one lasted 26 years.

Then it was her turn. Same story, new generation.

16 years later, she drove an hour just to say goodbye.

26 Valentine’s Days.
Which is impossible because I’m clearly 34.
Somehow I married a man who still sends Valentine’s cards to our fully grown children. Grown. Adults. With jobs.
I didn’t even know until I saw three red envelopes sitting there like evidence of excessive sweetness.
This is the kind of thing that gets me.
Not the grand gestures. The quiet ones.
If you like love stories that don’t feel like Hallmark auditions, I write them in my Savvy Planet newsletter.

The world felt extra scary this past week, wish I had wiser words for times like these.

A collection of moments from this weekend, slowly bringing this little home back to life and finding gratitude for this safe space.
