Date Night 💕

No surprise that October is my month for date nights, so I signed us up for our first ever Glass Blown Pumpkin Class at Holdman Studios in Lehi!

You pick out the colors for your pumpkin and then a guide walks you through a 30 minute step-by-step class. We made one pumpkin so I was the lucky lady who got to manhandle everything. We chose a black pumpkin with a fuchsia stem and I love how it turned out.

The process is so interesting and I would never guess how much goes into making these. Definitely would recommend for date night. Already thinking about next year and starting a new tradition of making a different colored pumpkin 🎃

If you’ve been following our journey as we bring the Sphere of Light to life, you know that it focuses on the Seven Pillars of Humanity.

Knowledge • Creativity • Faith • Love • Unity • Freedom • Courage

Each pillar will be brought to life through meaningful stories from people, cultures, history, and experiences from around the world.

Now, we’d love to hear from you.

What stories would you love to see represented inside the Sphere of Light?

Is there a person, moment in history, cultural tradition, or example that you feel beautifully represents one of these seven pillars?

Share your ideas in the comments!!

Some details make you look twice.

Hand painted murals, stained glass overhead, and a story in every corner.

A little piece of Tuscany, right here in Salt Lake City. Interior of Tuscany Restaurant in Salt Lake City featuring a hand painted Tuscan landscape mural beneath a colorful stained glass ceiling, surrounded by warm architectural details.

Love takes many forms, and throughout these panels for @thesphereoflight, each one brings this powerful pillar virtue to life.

Familial love is represented in our Japanese Home windows, motherly love in our Nordic Mother windows, altruistic love in our Perilous Waters windows, and universal love in our Kids at Play and First Steps scenes.

Throughout the Sphere of Light, each of the seven pillar virtues is brought to life with the hope of inspiring and bringing light to every individual who experiences them.

How do you show love in your life?

Happy October 1st 🎃 🦇 👻

This glass blowing class at @holdmanstudios was so much fun! The pumpkins we made are about to be my new favorite Halloween decoration! If you get a chance to take a class, I would highly recommend it! The whole process was so interesting and the instructor Jackie was awesome! We can’t wait to go pick up our finished pumpkins next week!
