MICHELLE TAKES L.A. โœˆ๏ธ๐ŸŒด โ€” PART TWO We pre-gamed at Adrienneโ€™s before heading to the concert, and we had a BALL! We played music, drank, laughed, fellowshipped, took photos and just enjoyed each otherโ€™s company. Of course, we had to stop and give birthday girl Michelle some birthday love before we headed out! Then it was time to GO! We were off to the Usher & Chris Brown concert, and let me tell youโ€ฆ we had an AMAZING time! But Iโ€™ll save all of that for PART THREEโ€ฆ Stay tuned for PART THREE: THE CONCERT!

MICHELLE TAKES L.A. โœˆ๏ธ๐ŸŒด โ€” PART ONE First stop: Brunch at Joyce Soul and Sea! And we had SUCH a good time! The chef actually came out and talked to us about the menu and told us his favorite was the shrimp and grits. So, of course, me and Tiannia got the shrimp and grits! They were really good, but let me tell you what stood out to usโ€ฆ That catfish was EVERYTHING! Me and Tiannia both agreed that the catfish was the winner! The drinks were good, the ambiance was beautiful, and the energy was amazing! We were laughing, talking, fellowshipping, and enjoying each otherโ€™s company. And then I found out some of my friends actually carry their own seasonings around! Hilarious!! Michelle gave us an amazing speech and toast because, of course, we were there to celebrate HER! And they even gave us complimentary lemon shots, which was such a nice surprise. Good food, good drinks, good people, and LOTS of laughs. It was such a great brunch! So if you are ever in L.A I would highly recommend @joyce_dtla! Stay tuned for PART TWOโ€ฆ because we were just getting started!

Last night was so special. @Ashanti FINALLY allowed us to produce an intimate music listening event for family and friends. I am SO excited for everyone to hear the new music. A special shout out to our friend @datwon who knows how to get Ashanti to open up and have a very enlightening and fun conversation about her music journey. And @rance1500, thank you from coming from Los Angeles to be a part of the special day. It is so exciting for you to be a part of this journey also. 2027, it is ON!!! This month at Kool Kidz Read, weโ€™re celebrating Womenโ€™s History Month the best way we know how, by lifting up stories of GIRL POWER, courage, and finding your voice. And ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐Œ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฒ ๐Œ๐š๐œ๐ฒ delivers all of that and more. Written by award-winning author Kwame Alexander and beautifully illustrated by Kitt Thomas, this empowering story follows Macy, a determined young reader whose love for books sparks something even bigger: ๐š๐๐ฏ๐จ๐œ๐š๐œ๐ฒ. When Macy discovers that her school library is closing several days a week due to budget cuts, she refuses to simply accept it. With encouragement from her family, support from her friends, and inspiring words from her father, Macy learns that even small voices can create ๐›๐ข๐  ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž. At Kool Kidz Read, we believe literacy builds leaders, and Macy reminds our young readers (especially our girls) that their voices matter, their ideas matter, and their courage can move a community. This story is about books, bravery, and believing in yourself enough to stand up for what you love. ๐Ÿ“š March Book of the Month ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ Celebrating Womenโ€™s History Month ๐Ÿ‘‘ Celebrating GIRL POWER ๐Ÿ“– ๐‘๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‹๐ž๐š๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐†๐ซ๐š๐๐ž๐ฌ ๐Ÿโ€“๐Ÿ“ Because every Leader ((no matter how small)) has the power to make a difference. #KoolKidzRead #GirlPower #WomensHistoryMonth #TheMightyMacy #RaisingLeaders #LiteracyIsLeadership ๐Ÿ“šโœจ

Every seat in the room was intentional. Brendon and I are intentional about curating spaces that celebrate and empower our partners and leaders shaping NYC through sport, culture, and community. The Sport & Equity Dinner is designed to do three things: โ€ข Celebrate the work โ€ข Strengthen alignment โ€ข Accelerate collective impact This is how ecosystems grow. This is how cities move. Because real sport equity isnโ€™t just a strategy โ€” itโ€™s relationships. Itโ€™s trust. Itโ€™s shared vision. Grateful for everyone who showed up to strengthen the ecosystem.

Before we close out February, can we just acknowledge the fact we had a three day Valentineโ€™s Day weekend just two weeks ago?? Sharing some love with you all โ™ฅ๏ธ๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ’‹ Thank you for the privilege of a lifetimeโ€ฆcapturing what makes you smile, what makes you shine, what lifts you up and gives you reason to breatheโ€ฆ These are the moments we hold onto the most when hope seems fraught and the world is falling apart.
