One of the best parts of healing? The friendships that carry you through it. 🤍

Holly and I got a sunrise beach workout in together, and honestly, the workout was secondary. The real medicine was the laughing, the movement, and the reminder that joy isn't about where you are, it's about who you're with.

Something I've learned in my 40s (and especially post-diagnosis): the friendships that show up, that move your body next to you, that hold space for both hard and fun times, those are part of your healing team too. Hold them close!

If you're building your Health Haven, don't forget this piece. Find your people. Move with them. Let them in. And be sure to laugh a LOT!

Tag the friend who's your person right now. 🌿

This is what 20+ years of friendship looks like on a beach in Jamaica. 😂

Spinning around offering entertainment for all. Full hysterical laughter on the shoreline.

And not a single care about how old we are.

Age is just a number. What actually determines how you show up in the world is the energy you carry and the people you choose to carry it with.

I have watched healing change me in ways I never expected. And one of the biggest? I started being fiercely intentional about who gets my energy.

The women in my life who make me laugh until I can't breathe? Who will literally let me swing from her shoulders on a beach at our age without a second thought? Those are my people. (@holly4holistic 🤣) And those relationships are medicine just as real as anything in my healing binder.

Your nervous system knows the difference between people who fill you up and people who empty you out. Choose accordingly. 🤍

Tag your person who would absolutely do this with you. 👇😂

What a great weekend with some of our closest friends in Jamaica. God put us together as young married couples in Abilene, TX in 2000 and our friendship has seen us through so much since then. Love these people and thankful every move we’ve made God has given us a tribe. This group holds the title of original!

25 years of friendship. Life gave us careers, 10 children between our families, gray hairs, and a thousand reasons to be busy.

But somewhere along the way, it also gave us each other. Twenty-five years later, we’re still collecting sunsets, still laughing until we cry, and still reminding each other that the best journeys are the ones you don’t take alone.

It is RARE, to find friendships like these. We are very grateful. But I also want to point out that it takes intentionality, hard work and energy being poured into those friendships to work. Have we always done it well? Nope! But we also had an unbeatable foundation so that meant we pick up right where we left off.

I know I speak to a more “mature crowd” on social media normally, but if I could give the college folks and young adults who follow me a little advice (unsolicited of course:), choose your friends wisely. Get into community. Don’t just go to church but PLUG in. No deep rooted friendships are made by checking boxes and shaking hands. They are made by getting involved, asking people over to your home to get to know them (thanks @holly4holistic ) and doing life together. Essentially, get vulnerable, it brings life long friendships.

This week was the perfect reminder to slow down, count my blessings, and to continue to pour my energy into things that matter. In our 20’s and even in our (almost) 50’s, we can waste so much time emptying our cups, having a revolving door of friendships and worrying about so many things that you won’t think about twice later in life.

We met these couples through a Bible class at church and I couldn’t be more grateful God brought us together and that this week we got to celebrate some big milestones together! 50 years young and over 75 years of combined marriage. ❤️

To many more….

When your best friend and you spend WAY too many hours in a gym on a business trip to see how many challenges you can come up with…this is the result🤣🤣🤣

Look, at our age, if you aren’t challenging yourself, you are most likely going backwards🤣
We are all about aging forward and doing it well. 🤷‍♀️ At least TRYING to!😅

We literally laughed till our bellies hurt but also, there were so many lessons to be learned!

🤣Fun and laughter is crucial for healthy living

💪Finding challenges that make your body wonder if you’ve lost your mind, is SO good for the body! Keep challenging it as being sedentary leads to mobility issues!

👯Find friends that lift you up (maybe physically too🤣), challenge you and cheer you on, no matter what.

🤪Don’t take life too seriously! We overcame some of these challenges and rocked them (videos to come!) and some we sucked at! But in the in-between was all the fun!

Don’t forget to live in the in-between! Those can be some of the sweetest moments even if you conquer the challenge, or you fail, enjoy the in-between.

PS I was legit sore from just trying challenges all day. Best workout ever. Love you @holly4holistic and thank you for always making me a better human.

What a WHIRLWIND 48 hours in Phoenix!!

It’s always so good to get to see some of my favorite humans ever but also…. the company I’ve partnered with for the past 11 years just created some business tools and two new products (launching in JUNE🤩🤩) that have blown my mind 🤯🤯🤯

I can’t WAIT to share more!!! 😍

Happy Friday!!!

Just leaving Phoenix (more on that later😉) but for now, some fun😆

If you aren’t doing challenges with your adult children, what are you actually doing 🤣
We got it eventually! Hope this made you smile as much as it did for us 😘

POV: When you and your best friend’s ridiculous energy level just matches🤣🤣

We talk a lot about greens, red light therapy, and non-toxic swaps on here... but let’s be honest, laughter is absolutely a vital part of a holistic lifestyle!

When you start prioritizing your health and truly feeling good from the inside out, you suddenly have the energy to just play again. Never underestimate the wellness power of a good belly laugh with a great friend.

Who is your favorite person to be absolutely ridiculous with?

See you in a few days in Phoenix @holly4holistic🙌🙌🙌

Well….its HERE!!!! I haven’t told many people as I thought it would be a fun SURPRISE 🤩

Last year, one of my mentors and friends asked me to share a part of my story that I don’t talk about much. I honestly assumed she wanted me to talk about my cancer journey but she surprised me and asked me to share some even more tender parts of a season of life that a lot of you aren’t aware of.

She is the BEST encourager and literally made me feel like I one day, could write a book😳! (That time isn’t now but maybe down the road😆) @kathycrockett44 has the gift to draw parts of you that you never knew you had. She gently provokes deep thoughts, hidden gifts and even hard memories that somehow turn into a beautiful story.

Thank you friend for not giving up on me and continuing to help me on my first writing journey.

The best part is, I am only one of MANY incredible stories and authors and one of them is my best friend @holly4holistic ! Her story, as well as all the others will hopefully speak blessings into your life.

Another incredible piece of this book launch is that 100% of the proceeds go back to Pure Hope Foundation! A ministry that helps women coming out of the horros of sex trafficking.

So…without further ado, I introduce you to
“Courageous Women Of Faith” Book 3.

I would love for you all to support this ministry and read all the stories! If you all could leave a book review on amazon in the next 10 days it would be HUGE for the success of the book launch!

Thanks in advance and I pray the book blesses you as much as it did me in the process of writing my story.❤️❤️

Please comment for link and I’ll get it right to you! 🤩🤩
