🥦We pulled up a chair to sample the finest local produce at Enfield Feasts Supper Club.

Created by @urvashiroe (yep, her off Bake Off!) with Enfield Council, this series of Supper Clubs held at @dugdaleartscentre celebrates seasonal produce grown here in Enfield by inviting chefs to create a menu using goodies harvested down the road.

👩🏻‍🍳Chef Ceri @cerijoneschef created a sumptuous vegetarian feast using not only Forty Hall’s finest, but also a few goodies from Urvash’s own allotment.

🤤I was in absolute food heaven and my meat eating pal, heartily agreed!

Watch for the all menu details, but let’s just say your tummy will be rumbling by the end!

🌱Gorgeous Urvhashi gifted us camomile seeds from her dearly departed neighbours flower patch and a cup full of the tasty onions.

📗And of course, I had to treat myself to a signed copy of Ceri’s beautiful book.

👀 Keep an eye out for more Enfield Feasts - I can’t wait for the next one!

Consider your Christmas get together sorted ⬇️

A Very TWHSC Christmas 🎄

Christmas has always been my favourite excuse to go completely over the top in the kitchen - and this year I get to do it for all of you.

For 5 nights this December, I’m transforming @holtwhitesbakery into A Very TWHSC Christmas - think getting dressed up, something sparkling, candlelight, crackers and, most importantly, just bloody good food.

I’ve created a properly indulgent Christmas menu and I am not holding back.

🥂 Welcome drink + canapé + four courses
🍷 BYOB

Early Bird tickets are live for TWO WEEKS ONLY before the price goes up.

Come hungry and let me spoil you this Christmas season 🤍 🎅🏼

Tickets now live via the link in bio.

A different kind of working day yesterday, it was the @mayor_of_enfield charity golf day, supporting Insight Enfield – SORT IT!, One to One Enfield and Whitewebbs Museum of Transport.

I skipped the golf (for obvious reasons!) and joined the late lunch! Great to see so many local businesses coming together to support their community.

There were buns from @holtwhitesbakery and the best eggless cake I’ve had outside India, from @cakeboxuk. That cake made me think so much of my mum. Food has a way of bringing people close. And in case you are wondering eggless cakes are big in India.

I left thinking about something that’s been on my mind for a while…mayors are becoming increasingly cool again. There’s something about a role that brings people together, champions local causes and helps a place feel like a community. Quick shout out to Enfield Town Club @enfieldtownclubone which is a great local spot for live music and family events.

Our current Mayor of Enfield was born for it.

I have had quite a few chocolate brownies in my time but this one @holtwhitesbakery was moist, chewy and had great texture and taste. My compliments yo husband and wife founders, husband-and-wife team Richard Copsey and Kate Smith and their hard working team 👏

We celebrated the winners of the @lovingsocialmedia Enfield Business Awards, who were not able to make the actual awards, on Tuesday evening. The presentation was held in the Mayor’s parlour, surrounded by scrummy treats catered by @holtwhitesbakery, who were the winners of the Best Specialist/Independant shop, sponsored by @wanasakitchen . 🩷

I learnt a few things that evening.

Did you know that Cindy Dolls were made in Enfield?

What else was made in Enfield?

Another fantastic local business has just signed up to Enfield’s Breastfeeding Welcome Scheme!

We’ve loved Holtwhites since the days when we’d buy bread from their kitchen door on a Saturday morning, and since then they’ve opened two popular local bakeries.

Holtwhites Bakery & Deli on Aldermans Hill in Palmers Green has a café and a lovely little private garden, making it a relaxed spot for a coffee or something amazing to eat.

Kate, Richard and team pride themselves on the shop being a warm and welcoming haven and baby-changing facilities and help-yourself water are always available.

“We always try to look after breastfeeding mums. Our staff are lovely with all the new mums who come in.”

Join us in celebrating another welcoming space for local families. Every new venue helps grow a community where parents feel comfortable feeding their babies whenever they need to.

Contact us if your Enfield venue would like to join. We would love to hear from you!
