Join us this Sunday at ICA Miami @icamiami during ICA Family Day as we use the arrow keys to walk together through each artist’s digital installation, or visit through LOOP from wherever you are!

Miami-based artist Asser Saint-Val, one of the participating artists, will be there in person to share his process inside Loop, which culminated in this exhibition, and guide you through each artist’s portal.

Any Resemblance Is Accidental marks the culmination of Loop Art Critique’s Cohort #22 (August 24 – October 1, 2026), featuring eight artists who participated in critique sessions alongside special guest Jon Rafman @jonrafman

Each artist inhabits a room connected by a surreal corridor that serves as a psychological threshold. As visitors move through these spaces, filled with artworks navigating diverse themes and techniques, as well as portals to alternate realms, they encounter questions of authenticity versus invention, simulacra versus fiction, and the interplay between chance and intention, particularly within digital spaces.

Participating Artists:

Wyatt Bertz @wyatt_bertz , Clayton Campbell @claytoncampbellart , Salesforce Child @salesforcechild Sim Ciudad @2nd.systems Mars Eve @mars_eve Naomi Moser @holyfaarts Andrea Nakhla @andreantoinette and Asser Saint-Val @asser_saintval

I never posted about clown haunt 2024. @juliaistheman turned the @elysiantheater into a haunted house for one night only. performers hid all throughout the theater and the experience ended in a show. Julia let me close the show even though I had hardly performed before. Which is a lot of trust! Clown haunt gave me a lot of confidence and also made me a lot of friends. No one knew each other well at the time but I still work with a lot of the clown haunt cast today. As @wildheartclown and I embark on having our own show on the Elysian main stage a week from tomorrow, I'm feeling a lot of love for Julia and the clown haunt cast.

We are excited to publish "Rehearsals for Possible Futures" by Naomi Moser as part of a special section on the recent edition of the Venice Biennale.

In this review, Naomi Moser takes a closer look at Things to Come by Maja Malou Lyse at the Danish Pavilion of the 2026 Venice Biennale, curated by Chus Martinez, focusing on its use of immersive spectacle to interrogate gender performance and affective labor. Taking as its premise a fertility study finding that VR porn dramatically improves sperm motility, the exhibition deploys campy, self-reflexive vignettes in which the mechanics of fantasy are exposed mid-performance. Moser critically evaluates how this approach engages theories of performativity from Goffman, Tolentino, and Legacy Russell, asking whether revealing the artifice underlying femininity and desire might ease the social burden of sustaining them, and arguing that Lyse's work places productive cracks in the structures of gender performance without fully dismantling them.
