Praising God for Homebound 2024
~
Homebound 2024 was a spirit-filled gathering that brought hearts together in worship, prayer, and fellowship. From the opening moments to the closing prayer, we witnessed God’s presence in every aspect of the event. The powerful messages, centered on John 14:1-3, reminded us of God’s promises and the eternal home He is preparing for us.
~
The youth-inspired Bible stories were relatable, personal, and impactful, offering deep spiritual takeaways while creating an atmosphere of joy and connection. Interactive icebreakers and meaningful discussions strengthened our bond as a community united in faith.
~
We praise God for the dedication of every speaker, organizer, and participant who made this event a success. Homebound 2024 wasn’t just an event—it was a moment to reflect, renew, and rejoice in the assurance of God’s love. May the seeds planted during this weekend continue to grow and bear fruit as we journey together toward our heavenly home.

GOODBYE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Over the past couple of days, the ending scene of Toy Story 3 has been on my mind, and that scene was very much on my mind still when the Victoria / South Australia border was crossed this afternoon for the last time after having earlier left Adelaide on the move southeast. The sound is from that scene, those who remember that scene hopefully can see why that scene and its sounds have been utilised.

At present I am in Horsham, in western Victoria taking a break from driving. It was quite upsetting to leave South Australia with all my friends and family behind, but the time to move along has come.

Credit to Disney for the awesome film they made, released in 2010.

It was a blessing to have some of our youth from Adelaide join us in worship at Rendlesham Church this recently. It was truly beautiful to be part of the Rendlesham community, and seeing Krissie preach added so much to our time together. A heartfelt thank you to all the youth who came down—we had a truly wonderful Sabbath!

We thank you Jesus for being with us throughout big camp and for getting us home safely. May the spiritual food obtained this week sustain us till your soon return. May we share what we have learnt and apply it to our lives, that others may come to know you through us. We thank you for always being with us, for your guidance and protection. Be with us now and forever, in your loving name we pray, amen🙏

✝️Sharing about Jesus can be overwhelming. You may think there’s so much you don’t know. You may be feeling afraid. You may be doubting if you know enough. That’s ok.

😎 Here’s the cool thing: there is not a one way only to share about Jesus. There are many ways to. If you’re like me and enjoy sports, music & hanging out you’re able to share Jesus in that way. You can share about Him through any means possible.

😌Another cool cool thing: The Holy Spirit will give you the words to say. Luke 12:12 speaks about when Jesus warned his disciples when they are caught to not be afraid “for the Holy Spirit will teach you what to say.” In the same sense the Holy Spirit will speak through you and give you words to say when sharing about Jesus. All you need is to be willing to share the good good news

😅 Articulate. A game where players try to guess a word, player with card needs to give evidence without saying the word so their team can get a point. When you share about Jesus your testimony & experiences are great evidences outside of the Bible to be shared with others. It is YOUR personal experience & story of how JESUS changed your life. Revelation 12:11 shares as this is one of the key things in overcoming the devil “by the word of their testimony”

As I’m about to board & fly back home 📍I give God all the glory & praise. There was breakthrough this weekend. Brothers & sisters got to find out God loves them. And his arms are wide open to embrace his children. I’m grateful for the opportunity to speak. Regardless of my circumstance & feelings God spoke.

And the funny thing is despite tearing my ACL & ligaments. I’m not angry. Or down in my feels. If anything I’m praising God even more. Because He’s my joy. My true joy. Down deep in my soul 🥳

And like it says in James 1:2-4
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Shot Adelaide til next time ✈️

Dear Lord,

My identity is in you. Regardless of whether I went or stayed l, you tell me you love me. You’ve shown in more way in the last 24hours. You’ve spoken to me in ways I only know how. My circumstances don’t define who you are to me. Who you are is what defines you. I thought I knew where you wanted me. Yet you’ve continued to speak to me telling me to go. Go for you’ve already provided. And you truly have. May you use me as a testimony for your gospel to be heard. I come before you in confidence knowing who I am in you. Lead me lord. Let you be seen & heard not me.

Amen.
