Guys - these fires have made me feel so helpless. I wanted to help those who have lost everything, but wasn’t sure how I could help. Then I was inspired to design a sock pattern, the profits of which would go to the victims of the many wildfires here in AK in summer 2019. The pattern is all written up and charted, but I need a few things - if you can whip through a test sock for me, I’d love to have a test in each of the S, M, and L sizes. It’s a fingering weight, standard sized sock inspired by all the smoke we’ve experienced around the state. Happy Mother’s Day! This is my mom and me just a few years ago- I’m wearing a Qiviut hat, which I blame for the beginning of a life of fiber snobbery. Thanks mom! 😂@homercscott If you swipe you can also see my wonderful grandma, Julie Sipila, the namesake of my new sweater design. Spring in Oregon always reminds me of her- she always called us in Alaska to let us know the daffodils were blooming while we were still buried under mountains of snow. 😂 Now I live here and remember her calls as I watch the flowers bloom on our own property. ❤️🌸 I hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Knitting is a family event around here! My mom @homercscott made a Tegna for my sister (who doesn’t knit- for shame!!! 😂😂). She modified it slightly by lengthening the body and sleeves per my sister’s request. I love how it turned out, and think it’s so much fun that my mom knits all my designs!
