There is a quote that says something like “let yourself be quietly drawn by the things that you love, it won’t lead you astray”
What you feel might not make sense to anyone else, not even to you. But if there’s this subtle pull, or inner voice telling you the same message over and over again, I highly recommend paying attention.
I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve done it. From leaving well paying jobs with company cars, to backpacking around India on my own wearing silver boots, to saving someones life, to breaking up with a boyfriend who was “perfect” on a paper and wanted to marry me, to shedding 75% of my possessions and leaving my home to explore possibilities of a life in another country, to shedding people and feeling lonely, to deciding I could raise a child by myself in a country on the opposite side of the world, to having an epiphany in a rock pool and starting my own business, this is just a handful of examples I can give you.
Each time I followed the internal call, not knowing the way, but the way appeared every time. I might add this has not been “easy” it has required huge amounts of trust and faith, not only in the universe, but in myself, to back myself in my decisions when most other people had differing views.
What I’ve realised so solidly this weekend, after spending time in nature, off grid, rounding and meditating with a wonderful people, is that all roads lead to home. The home within you. The ever present peace within you. The guidance that is always there if you can just get quiet enough to listen. Or if you’re lucky enough, to have safe people around to listen to you to work it out, or give you a wonderful new perspective on an aspect of yourself.
This time is priceless and I’m so grateful to @iammaddygray and @marou.home for creating this space to explore.
It’s such a gift ✨
The deeper I go, the more capacity I have to hold space for my clients. 18 years of practice. To me it’s normal, but I also need to practice letting you know I’m here, available to hold space for you in a Coaching capacity while you explore the beautiful gift that is your life.
There’s magic there for you, be brave & step towards it ✨✨

Honey Atkinson (@honeyatkinson) is a familiar name around here, and this time we’re stepping into her garden to look a little closer at her front border, full of hardy plants.

SWIPE to find Honey’s six planting combinations from her 10-acre property near Bermagui (Southern NSW).
Thoughtful pairings chosen for colour, texture, and a garden that doesn’t demand constant attention.

A lovely one to save if you’re wondering what to plant in a border for hardy layers.

Comment HONEY, and we’ll send you the full garden feature.

My darling friend Kim from @bettymaewrote creates writing prompts, helping people put their memories to paper. Recently she explained that journalling is tomorrow's memory already captured, and provided some suggestions that can help get you writing right now.

I'm not looking for writing prompts at the moment, but I am challenging myself to draw spontaneous things. And, as it turns out (and probably unbeknownst to Kim), her writing prompts make the perfect suggestions.

One of the prompts is to reflect on a recent podcast, book, or movie that got under your skin. Well, I have been dreaming of hauling the entirety of my belongings, besides a swimsuit and snorkel set, down to the op shop to make way for my new nomadic life LIVING ON A BOAT after @honeyatkinson shared on the @avantgardeners.podcast that she spent the first 6 years of her life LIVING ON A BOAT.
Ohhhh, the mind boggles and the heart sings!

I've drawn three of the writing prompts into my sketchbook so far, and decided to do a coloured version of my favourite ocean-life one.

The saying goes that a picture speaks a thousand words, and in this case, I have 3000 words sketched into my art book.

Thank you Kim for a Sunday spent gardening and sketching... which, by the way guys, also happens to be one of her prompts - "What did your Sunday look like?"

Honey Atkinson said that she's stepped out of her comfort zone in the last 12 months more than she has in the last decade, and we wanted to know why. We LOVE this answer.

|| photo shoot ready 📸

I was honoured to be apart of this shoot doing the makeup on the team from @reins_to_resilience_co
This makeup session was a little different as it wasn’t a wedding it was a business shoot (and these ones don’t come around too often)

It was fantastic to work with and learn more about our local offers and services run by talented women.

Reins To Resilience is the the very popular horse focused educational and wellbeing program her on the far south coast offering horsemanship clinics, 1:1 sessions, and workshops backed by occupational therapy principles to support emotional regulation, physical confidence, and personal growth for people of all abilities.

Later on the girls were joined by @honeyatkinson
Honey is our renowned lifestyle photographer and film maker here in the Bega Valley who works with ambitious women in business.

Together they have created magic in these photos.
Don’t you think ?

Honey Atkinson lives on a 10 acre property in NSW's Bega Valley with her kids, partner and mum, aka 'Pirate Grandma'. The place is noisy and chaotic, but they wouldn't have it any other way.

We first came across Honey @honeyatkinson when she worked with @compostable.kate on The Compost Coach, and very quickly became obsessed with her photography, her garden, and her outlook on life.

We're inspired by her colour combinations, her ability to just do-do-do, and love how she's approached intergenerational living with her kids, her partner and her mum.

Honey lived on a boat for the first six years of her life, her kids think they have a pirate grandma, and she has no time for sewing.

This is a beautiful, heartwarming, warm-and-fuzzies chat that we really think you're going to love. Grab a cuppa tea, go stare at something in nature, and pop this in your ears.

We also talk about @northofedengin
@jeanmartinfortier and @clairetakacs.

I thought it was about time I put these photos by @honeyatkinson to good use and properly introduced myself 🤍

I’m a bachelor degree-qualified Clinical Nutritionist (BHSc NutDMed), but my foundation in understanding the human body began years before this when I studied a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science. This background has shaped the way I approach health - recognising the body as an interconnected system and looking beyond isolated symptoms.

A lot of people hear “Clinical Nutritionist” and think meal plans, recipes, or simply being told what to eat, but the work we do is so much more than that.

Clinical nutrition involves looking at the individual as a whole - understanding their intricate health history, thorough symptom analysis, discussing diet/lifestyle, and the many factors that may be influencing their health.

This can include the use of functional testing, a deeper assessment of nutritional status, and reviewing pathology through a different lens - not just looking at whether results fall within a reference range, but considering how these markers may relate to an individual’s symptoms, health goals, and overall picture.

My approach focuses on using nutritional medicine to harmonise traditional wisdom and principles with contemporary integrative medicine, combining a deep understanding of physiology with current evidence and personalised care.

I support patients with a range of health concerns, including those navigating chronic health challenges, by developing tailored strategies that address their unique needs and support their health journey.
