Alaskan fishing trip of a lifetime.

My brother-in-law Trey and I headed to remote Alaska with our Uncle Clancy for a fly-fishing trip on the Hoodoo River.

We went up there chasing silver salmon and ended up getting into some solid rainbow trout and Dolly Varden too.

We met some new friends along the way, had awesome guides, and the whole crew took great care of us from start to finish.

Hard to beat a week fishing in a place like this.

More photos to come, but here are a few of the fish and our new friends from the trip.

Back from another dreamt trip to @hoodoolodge Sapsuk River, on the Aleutian Peninsula, Alaska.

Autumn here is something special. Nature puts on its last and most glorious show before winter lands hard on a coast so exposed to the North Pacific and the Bering Sea.

The adventure calls louder than the fishing itself. Every day promises something deeper than just catching fish, and Hoodoo delivered on that promise in a way I won’t forget.

Stay tuned, more about the trip coming soon in our blog.

What if we dreamed of the perfect steelhead experience?

The @hoodoolodge Sandy River delivers something that goes far beyond some of the finest swung-fly fishing for wild steelhead. There is something deeply moving about experiencing a place that takes you back to the old days—the ones we have heard and read so much about, when rivers were still wild, fish were abundant and every cast carried a genuine sense of possibility.
It’s a rare glimpse into the steelhead fishing we have always dreamed about.

Visits to North Creek always remind me how special the place is and the people we get to share it with. #flyfishing #alaska #friendship

Not every runway ends at a hangar. Some end with the Aleutian Range.

There are places you can drive to.
And then there are places you have to fly into.

🎣 MoJoBella Fly Fishing® & HooDoo Lodge are headed to Fly Fest in Redding!

We’re excited to be exhibiting at Fly Fest in Redding, California at the end of September and sharing a little bit of what we love about fly fishing — from the legendary waters of Northern California to the wild rivers of the Alaska Peninsula.

More than anything, we’re looking forward to seeing old friends, past guests, fellow guides and anglers — and meeting plenty of new ones along the way.

If you’re coming to Fly Fest, stop by our booth, say hello, swap a few fishing stories, and talk with us about everything from Lower Sacramento trout to Alaska Kings and Silvers.

Two incredible destinations. One shared passion for fly fishing.

MoJoBella Fly Fishing® × HooDoo Lodge

Hope to see you in Redding! 🎣

The morning sun rises on another Alaska hunting season. Do to unfortunate circumstances for the first time in 15 years I wasn't able to spend part of my fall season in the Brooks Range of Alaska. But where one opportunity fades another one begins. #alaska #alaskapeninsula #caribou #caribouhunting #hoodoolodge @wildman.hunt @hoodoolodge
