Thank you all so much for joining us for our first panel! And what a fun one. The topic was how play informs a creative practice and Lila Allen cunningly led the conversation between Julio Torres, Nancy Kim, Misha Kahn, and Sean Roland that took us deeper into their personal work as well as the brilliant 5 years of very serious playful work that led to the pocketbook and Show: Room.

We appreciate you spending your Saturday afternoon with us and we look forward to the next one!

This panel was part of a larger weekend hosting the founders of @collectiblefair and their members club @club.collectible. Thank you for joining us!

Thank you to @emilywiniker for the photos!

We’re so excited to see Haram Haram (@haramharamstudio) in print in Hospitality Design (@hospitalitydesign). Our first time in print! It is an honor to be part of their July Wellness Issue, in the Be Well section. In the wide landscape of design, we continue to center environmental health within our practice. Creating holistic spaces that benefit the health of the people in them is a deep focus of ours. Beyond aesthetics, we consider indoor air quality, material health, and the full supply chain of everything we specify. With a WELL accredited professional on our team and a background in designing healthcare spaces, we treat wellness as the center of our projects and not an afterthought. Link in bio to read the article.

Thank you Stephanie Chen for including us, and Alia Akkam (@behdria)and Caitlin St John (@crstjohn) for capturing our intent so accurately.

We’re delighted to be part of this year’s Upstate Art Weekend, an artist-forward, region-rooted platform dedicated to amplifying creative communities throughout the Hudson Valley and Catskills.

Our seasonal presentation at @showroom.hudson, inside the Pocketbook Hudson, sits alongside gallery friends including Jacqueline Sullivan Gallery (@jacquelinesullivangallery), Julio Torres x Sabai (@spaceprincejulio), and Jake Coan (@jakecoan).

For this exhibition, I wanted to create a dialogue between the works and the extraordinary views across the Hudson Valley. The presentation brings together ten artists whose works speak to the landscape outside the windows, including works by Cadis (@cadis___), Chris Rucker (@ruckercorp), Troy Town (@troy.town), Zachary White (@zchrywht), and Leo Kaspar (@leo__kaspar)

Earlier this summer, my boyfriend and I drove across America from east to west. What stays with me isn’t any one destination so much as the gradual shift in the landscape each day: from the forests of the Great Smoky Mountains to the wetlands of the South and the vast deserts of West Texas. In a world of plastic, these landscapes remain reassuringly solid.

I found myself thinking about that journey while putting this exhibition together. The works don’t attempt to imitate nature so much as sit alongside it. I hope visitors spend as much time looking through the windows across the Hudson Valley as they do looking at the objects themselves, allowing each to inform the other.

We hope you’ll stop by if you’re exploring Upstate this weekend.

Daisy & Annie’s whimsical wedding on summer solstice. Filled with summer bowls, giant alliums, wild flower dustings, and little mounds of midsummer meadows. Thank you @hook.haus and @fawbaa for letting me help create your fairytale.

So grateful for my hardworking and talented team @antonydigiacomo @321brendan and my ride or die fairy @dustybluelizard who helped me bring it all to life. Photos by @theatraff

Tattooing is an inherently intimate and vulnerable experience, and the environment plays a critical role in shaping how the body and mind respond. To accommodate a range of comfort levels, we enveloped each station, creating protected, calm, and private spaces, ‘portals’ enclosed by translucent drapery.

Layers of earthen materials and soft light guide clients from their arrival at the studio to more intimate zones. At Haram Haram, the experience extends beyond the visual: candlelight, incense, tea, music, and storytelling contribute to a sensorial environment that feels both transportive and deeply personal. By balancing precision with warmth, and hygiene with atmosphere, the space supports both Natashia’s craft and the wellbeing of every client and visitor.

The Retail

The retail space at Haram Haram unfolds as a sculptural landscape: soft, undulating forms that recall both desert dunes and the architecture of Lebanon. Informed by her background in fashion, we explored drapery as both threshold and veil. Custom translucent drapes soften the boundary between interior and street, and create privacy for the studio’s visitors. The original concrete slab, once hidden beneath white tile, was uncovered, sanded, polished, and stained to a warm, sandy hue.

Working closely with Natashia, we aimed to incorporate plant life that evokes home and familiarity. The olive tree, native to Lebanon, emerged as a key reference. Rather than treating it as decor, we integrated it into the architecture, creating an oasis within the installation’s dune-like curvature. The undulating bench gives way to a recessed planter, creating a subtle threshold between interior and natural landscape.

On the upper level, where the tattoo stations and bathroom are located, a small lounge provides a place to pause just before the tattoo experience. It holds a sense of comfortable anticipation, a threshold between arrival and transformation. At its center, a custom table assembled from stacked pavers serves as an understated yet sculptural centerpiece.

The Tivoli River House is a perfectly preserved Greek Revival cottage 🏛️ perched along the Hudson, one of only a handful of true riverfront homes remaining along this storied stretch of water. From the front porch, boats drift quietly by in a ritual as old as the river itself. This is not a view. This is a way of life.
