Two best buds on team @dryv_bagz together that had very different rounds😭 Kramer shot a very hot -10 and is only 2 shots off the lead whereas I shot +5 and had zero idea where my discs was going. Hello and welcome to episode 3 of Lost & Found disc review. On this week’s episode I went and played a 9 hole layout out at Harry Myers. After playing holes 1-6 I made my way over to hole 16 and walked past something that caught my eye. Lucky for me it was today’s contestant and I’m always excited to throw something I would never bag myself. You could tell this disc had been thru something with how warped it was but that wasn’t going to stop us from doing a review of it. Since this was a solo round I didn’t get video of the second shot from where it landed but you’ll have to watch and see how the drive goes.

I need your help guys..... Unfortunately in this past week I have stumbled on some really bad luck. When I was on my way home from USDGC last Sunday night, I noticed that my van wasn't driving smoothly and was having problems accelerating. It got worse as I got closer to home. After getting home I scheduled an appointment to have it looked at and I just got the news no one wants to hear. My transmission needs to be replaced. And it is not cheap at all. To be honest, this puts me in a really tough spot financially after grinding all year on tour, and this is a post I never wanted to have to make. I need your help. I have a ton of game used and fundraiser discs, along with some brixton cards up on my website over at Fairway Discs! (link is in my bio) I would really appreciate anyone who goes and picks one (or a few) up to help support me and help me cover this huge expense so I can hopefully finish the season and play a couple A-Tier events that I had originally planned Being a touring professional disc golfer can be really tough sometimes and unexpected expenses like this are hard to prepare for, especially when it isn't the first time this season I've had to pay for a big vehicle maintenance expense. In a world where every athlete wants to be “sponsored” an important question doesn’t get asked or answered enough: “Should I accept this sponsorship?” I see so many people that accept any sponsor that offers them a contract, even with companies that aren’t a good fit for them, are run poorly, operate shady, or simply just accept anyone that applies. So here is a quick checklist to run through when deciding where to apply or whether or not to accept when that offer does come through. 1.) Would I use their products if I wasn’t sponsored? If the answer is no, then it’s probably not a good fit. Whether you think it’s easy or not, promoting a brand authentically when you don’t truly support their products is very difficult and can result in fast burnout, lack of authenticity with your audience, and low creativity when it comes to creating the content or having the conversations. 2.) Do you have something to offer or will you constantly feel like you’re doing nothing for them? Being honest with ourselves and understanding what value we bring to the table is just as important as getting value from them. If you can’t add value, you’ll be frustrated and it will cause more stress than value. 3.) What is the goal with this sponsor? Is it free stuff, money, community, brand building, access to exclusive merch, or something different entirely? Knowing what you hope to gain or where you’re heading with a sponsor is important to know from the start, this way you have achievable goals, and when you hit, or miss, those goals, you can assess what you did right or wrong to improve yourself and your brand. Wanting to represent a brand just to have their name attached to you is also okay and can help build your credibility in an industry, but check off these other points before doing it just for this. Today is the final day of the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship (Powerball Cup) and although I'm not there, I've still been watching the event to see how it all plays out! Today both MPO and FPO winners will receive a record breaking $50,000 payout after tapping in for the win here! The nicest thing is that you are guaranteed a $2,000 just because you qualified, so everyone will get a solid payout to finish the season! That first place payout just insane to think about! When I first started playing disc golf, there wasn't a Pro Tour. They had national tour events and majors that I would watch on Spin TV and Jomez back then. It's crazy to see how far disc golf has come! Now we have live disc golf most weekends during the season, a dedicated disc golf tour that goes all over the US and Europe, and so many tournaments and new courses nowadays! It had definitely exploded in the last several years and I'm excited to see where we're at in another 10 years or so! #discgolf #discgolfprotour

Hello and welcome to Lost & Found Disc Review Episode 2 I was out playing one of my usual spots and walked upon this disc. It was nice and gummy from baking in the sun but that didn’t it stop from doing what it does 🥏 I reached out to Mr. JW and he was kind enough to let me keep this disc after I was done reviewing it 🫡 I then proceeded to throw my Vibe in the water on the very next hole. Sometimes you find them, sometimes you lose them.

Each year United States Disc Golf Championship is one of the hardest events to qualify for! You have to qualify based on your performance against other players who haven't already qualified for the event. Each year the USDGC posts a list of events that offer qualifying spots to get into the event, which includes A-Tiers from all around the country. They used to offer up to 4 spots for DGPT events and that number has reduced to 2, which is the same amount they offer at the selected A-Tiers. With the reduced spots available, this has sparked a bit of debate recently amongst some pros regarding whether some of these A-Tiers should even offer qualifying spots. Having those open has resulted in some non-touring players getting spots and some full time touring pros struggling to get in. There was even an event that had spots for players who opted not to play Pro Worlds, which is the biggest event of the season. I don't mind them being offered at A-Tiers to give high level non-touring pros some opportunities but personally it makes sense to me to have all of the qualifiers be DGPT affiliated events since those attract the highest level of players and are tougher to get into. I think doing that along with the current theme of giving spots to the Amateur Major winners would ensure that all of the highest level players would be playing in the event What are your thoughts? Should different A-Tiers continue to be given USDGC spots or should all of the qualifying events be only DGPT events besides the Amateur Majors? Some upshot’s from my rounds this past week. Maybe it’s the nice weather we’ve been having but I’ve been enjoying myself more and throwing better too. Aren’t we all so lucky to get to spend time in nature throwing plastics discs around.

The week at USDGC was awesome and I see why people hold this event in such high regard. The atmosphere, spectators, vendor village and the iconic holes all tie into this venue being really special! It's the hardest tournament to qualify for besides the DGPT Tour Championship and it's only gotten harder over the years. In the history of this event you have always had to qualify based on your performance in bigger events against other players who aren't already qualified. I have a list of goals for my disc golf career and qualifying to be able to play in this event has become on of my biggest goals for the future! I'll definitely be paying closer attention to the list of qualifying events and trying to hit some of those up! I was close this past year to making it in but had a couple of the iconic stroke and distance holes get me! I'll be back here again someday! #discgolflife #discgolfgoals

I manage thousands of applications from aspiring athletes every season and here are the 3 biggest mistakes you can EASILY avoid to increase your chances of getting sponsored. 1.) FOLLOW THEM: If you apply to be sponsored by a company, and they look at your page just to see that you aren’t even following them yet, you will almost always be disqualified. Follow the brands you want to work with. It really is that easy. 2.) BUY SOMETHING: Lots of companies search your name in their database to see if you have been a customer in the past, how long ago you purchased your first item, etc… long time supporters are usually viewed in a positive light and it shows you’ve invested in them before they take a risk on you. 3.) DON’T LIE OR EXAGGERATE: A VERY large number of applicants simply put verifiably incorrect information in their applications in hopes that the company won’t verify it. If you aren’t where you want to be yet, be honest, explain how you plan to get there, and why they should believe in you. Much better approach than just saying you already are something you are not. I plan on dropping a few reels helping people better understand sponsorship, so if you have a question, drop it below!
