Disclaimer:

*there are a lot of little lies in this video. We are NOT influencers. Little pebbles will NOT end you, but they will definatly try. The tutorial at the end was NOT a real tutorial. So don't come after us with that.
And yes Susan, we could be wearing protection but you don't have to comment that. We are adults and make our own decisions. Just like we had pancakes and poffertjes and icecream for dessert yesterday🤗🤭

Thanks @hoophustleflow for the shirt. @cherskater wants one too 🤪

Hand-Eye Coordination and reflexes.
One of five Rollgevity focus points — and the one nobody in the roller skating realm talks about.

This is @mariska_mbmcoaching and my funky badself hitting a tennis ball over an improvised obstacle for reference. It looks like nothing.
However, it's one of the most important things we do all week.

Every roller skater is focused on legs. Very few train the part of balance that actually fails first: the eyes, the timing, the decision. Because balance is not a position you hold; it's a correction you make, thousands of times in a short timespan. And a correction is only as fast as the system that sees the problem coming.

Reaction speed doesn't announce its decline. It just quietly slows. And the day you notice it, you won't say "my reflexes are slower." You'll say "my balance feels off." You'll increase skate time and freqency. But you'll fix the wrong thing.
If it's not trained, it's not maintained. Skills don't wait for you; they evaporate.

Start here: challenge your balance by working your reflexes. Short bouts. Twice a week. Don't know how? Get in touch.

The full chapter — all five focus points of the Rollgevity program, each with an on-wheels and an off-wheels drill block — is running soon in the Roller's Digest Series & Journal. Deep features, verified research, and the practical work that follows from it.

It's not about how good you roll. It's all about how long you roll good.

Hoop Cross Training for strength and balance!! It’s not all about skating to be a better skater.

Thanks to @gailxtee for making me this hoop and for the inspo! Maybe some day I’ll be as cool as friends like @hoophustleflow 💜

This video is at 3x speed. Believe it or not, I’ve had runs where I maintain the spin for close to 5mins. Though, I’m also not sure how to do it without having my hands over my head. Lol. This was the first time I tried filming.

Hey Skate Fam,

Hope this finds you all bless and hydrated💛🥤.

Fresh off a lovely weekend at Roll On London, I have to shout out @skater_dredd for helping to convert my skates which I wore this weekend.

Sometime last year @hoophustleflow interviewed me and one of her questions was : "Are there a pair of skates you haven't done yet?" 👀🤔
And my response was that I wanted to do a neon influenced pair of skates, so here they are 😊👌🏾

The set up👀

Plates: PowerDyne Thrust
Wheels: Rollerbones 101a
Bearings: Rio Roller Abec 9
Wheel nuts: Rollerbones metallic purple

Ahhh the return of @swhoopcon is almost here! I can’t make it to the comeback this year, and I’m “gutted,” as the Brits say. So I’m reliving the good times with some clips of Swhoops past. It is THE most fun a human being can have on earth. I will be back! If your schedule allows, definitely get a ticket. 😍 Oct 1-5, Bristol, UK

OK lovelies. Quick update from SB HQ ahead of our return to the shop being in full production mode.

I took a much needed break away from the shop this month to fill my cup.

I did exactly what I’ve been preaching for you all to do. I stepped back, I reset, and I realigned in order to allow my cup to refill. This brought me so much… I cannot express how much I’ve learned, what I gained creatively and what has bubbled up during this time.

To honour this moment, the shop will remain shut until 1st June. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, believe in the ethos and are ready for something new from us. It’s coming…

But first we play 🍑🍑🍑
