Friends: I'm excited to announce that after my year-long sabbatical, I'm returning to the practice of law with @thezakfranklin at Franklin Law PC, alongside @horsesmaybite, @juliezalinski, @azinvalafar and others. We represent workers in discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, misclassification, and wage theft cases against employers. All of us at the firm graduated from the nation's top law schools, trained at some of the best law firms in the country after graduation, and collectively have recouped tens of millions of dollars for workers against their exploitive bosses. Yes, we are as awesome as we sound. 😉

Despite starting this firm only four years ago, Zak has absolutely crushed it. Among his and @juliezalinski's significant victories include a recent $8 million dollar settlement in a hard-fought single-plaintiff sexual assault and retaliation case against the County of San Mateo. I am happy to call him my colleague and proud to welcome him to the worker-side plaintiffs' bar.

Two years in and I could not be prouder of the results we've achieved for our clients. Our clients come to us looking for someone to believe in them and to fight for them. I measure our firm's success by the changes made at the companies we've sued, the validation our clients receive with each recovery, and the solace our clients feel when justice is had. Until I can quantify those measures of success, I'm happy to tout the money we've taken from our adversaries and given to our clients. Looking forward to continuing our success in 2023!

This week marks one year since we started Franklin Law. We started with the goal of providing elite legal representation to victims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, sexual assault, and unpaid wages. I expected this first year to be very slow and I had many sleepless nights worrying that I was making a terrible mistake. Boy was I wrong! This past year has been the most enjoyable and rewarding year of my professional life. I am extremely thankful to our team (@horsesmaybite, @juliezalinski, @carlendangerdon) and the many clients who have trusted us to fight for them.

Reflecting on this past year leaves me overwhelmingly grateful to the many friends, colleagues, and mentors who helped me get to this point. I really needed you. You all came through for me. I will not forget that.
