high tide charity coffee day 2026!
We raised £2001.69 for hospiscare and gave away 284 free hot drinks! All in memory of Phil Cawood.
A big thank you to everyone that joined us.

Yesterday was one of those pinch me kind of days.

I was lucky enough to spend the day with some of my favourite humans, recording our new @hospiscaredevon Business Podcast- ‘Keeping Me Company’

As Partnerships Manager at Hospiscare, one of my main goals is to find innovative and authentic ways to give back to our business community-adding true value to the relationships and partnerships we foster.

At a chance meeting @businessfestsw in April, I met the incredible team at @evomedia.uk , and took part in their mobile podcast. From our conversation the spark for Keeping Me Company was ignited.

Keeping Me Company seeks to shine a light on the incredible businesses within our community, and importantly focuses on the wonderful humans behind the company name.

👀 Watch this space for the official launch coming very soon, but in the meantime thank you to Sarah Bailey , John Doyle , Ben Marsh , Tahlia Pow and Llew Nicholls for Keeping Me Company yesterday.

Thanks also to the amazing wesley sethi for the kind, positive and nurturing environment you created as director and to Lucy Ladd for your support behind the scenes!

Feeling a little overwhelmed and very touched to hear I’ve made the final five for the Unsung Hero award at the @notworkingnetworking Nottys.

A heartfelt thank you to those who put me forward. Thank you for thinking of me and taking the time to nominate me. It means so much.

I have always felt incredibly lucky to be a small part of @hospiscaredevon alongside colleagues whose kindness and dedication inspire me every day, especially our wonderful clinical teams. I’m also really privileged to get to work with some of the best humans in business that there are and for that, I’m infinitely grateful 🩵

I’m looking forward to a lovely evening at the awards and celebrating with everyone. Huge congratulations to all my fellow finalists 💛

Unbelievably soggy few hours up on @lovedartmoor taking pictures for The Dartmoor Beast Last weekend, organised to raise money for @hospiscaredevon.

Shame not to have run it myself, but this was a close second. Well done to the runners, and for raising £90k+.

Shout out to @martinstokke for getting me involved, and for organising the event!

Had a great time photographing this years Dartmoor beast, the weather was not on anyone’s side but really happy with what i managed to achieve for them. I was right at the top of great links tor which was around halfway so managed to get a good mix of smiles and struggle. Congrats to all the runners and to the organisers, I believe they have now surpassed £80,000 raised which incredible!! #dartmoorbeast

Well what a day that was @hospiscaredevon !!

That run was brutal, huge hills, strong winds and lots of rain! My legs are still trying to get back to normal.

@martinstokke you and your team did an amazing job with organising this event and all those marshals up on the moors!! I take my hat off to you all. It was not pretty up there by any means but you all were super positive and cheering us all on throughout the whole day.

I’ve still got my link up in my bio till the end of the week for more donations!

🚴‍♂️ 1,000 MILES FOR HOSPISCARE 💙

In June 2027, I’ll be taking on the challenge of cycling from John o’ Groats to Land’s End in just 14 days, covering around 1,000 miles and averaging 75 miles a day.

But this journey is about so much more than cycling.

Last year, my dad was diagnosed with throat cancer. Watching him go through this has been incredibly difficult, but the support he and our family have received from the hospice nurses has been truly amazing.

They’ve been there to provide care, comfort and support when we’ve needed it most, helping my dad at home and making a real difference to our family.

I’m taking on this challenge to give something back. I want to help Hospiscare continue providing this incredible care to other families going through similar experiences.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. ❤️

#medalmonday it’s been a while since I posted one of these. Seven months on from the last 🏅

Yesterday I realised just how much I’ve missed that race day feeling.
.
The Dartmouth Beast was exactly that a beast of a run and easily the hardest run I’ve ever done.
.
The cream tea at the end by far the best post race treat ever. And the Devonshire way is the best way. Always Jam on top of the cream 🙌

Hopefully not another seven months until the next🤞

Well what can I possibly say? The @hospiscaredevon 20 Mile Dartmoor Beast lived up to its name.

With a gnarly 20 miles, 6 tors, one actual mountain, 4461 feet of elevation, rain, wind , hail, sleet and 3 minutes of sunshine, this Beast was not going to defeat me.

Carrying my Dad with me and knowing I had the support of my loved ones, my hospiscare family, my choir family and some wonderful strangers I had to get it done.

Thanks @wiggyswoolies for being a great wing-woman, and congratulations also to my dear friends @annamorgan5258 @thecoffeebank_ottery and @katiemcgivern taking on the wee beastie.

Well done @hospiscaredevon for an incredible event and thanks to all the Marshalls who stood in the wind and rain to make sure we didn’t get lost.

Finally, thank you to every single one of you who sent good wishes and sponsored this really tough challenge. Nearly £3500 raised all in loving memory of my much missed and incredible Dad - Mike Melmoth.
