The art of a mirror

A mirror is the only object in a room that changes every time you look at it. It holds the light from the window, the shape of a doorway, the corner you never really see. Hang one and the room quietly doubles.

The art of it is in the placement. Too high and it collects ceiling. Too low and it collects floor. Set at the right height it borrows the best part of a space and hands it back, framed, as if someone had chosen it on purpose.

Which is why the frame carries as much weight as the glass. Brass warms what it reflects. Dark wood settles it. Thin metal almost disappears and lets the room speak for itself.

My favorite thing about this apartment isn’t the decor… it’s sharing it with my best friend and my two little spirit animals. 🏡🧢☮️

Feeling extra grateful lately for a space filled with love, inspirational art, and a little bit of colorful chaos to motivate / fuel our aspirations. ❤️‍🔥🪬💭

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! 🙏🤠

Creativity ≠ difficult!

Sometimes the most spectacular design solutions are born from simple, absolutely unexpected combinations of forms and materials. It is not the number of elements that truly matters, but it’s elaborated interaction.

So even a basic mirror can become an appealing decor item if it has non-standard shape like the mirror by @hotglood!
