Lots of patients are calling Vascular surgeons and asking if they accept “self-referrals” (some do some don’t) — if cash it’s cash, but if insurance usually you gotta download your provider directory of available network vascular surgeons then drop that pdf into an AI tool (I like Geminin deep research) and ask it to find out which ones have the highest percent chance likelihood to assess, diagnose, & treat vascular compression of the abdomen & pelvis. You can give or quote this specific literature listed in this post. And the imaging that ideally (according to the literature) they’ll order a CTA (arteries) and a CTV (veins) of the abdomen and pelvis with contrast. These stats are crazy—90% of young women with TOS and EDS & MCAS (often POTS as well) have multiple vascular compressions in their abdomen. This stuff is severely disabling from pain. #heds #thoracicoutletsyndrome #zebrastrong #hypermobileehlersdanlossyndrome

Feeling confident about my future for the first time in months because one of the best vascular surgeons in the WORLD referred me to an even BETTER surgeon at John’s Hopkins because my case is too complex for him. This is HUGE for me because the John’s Hopkins guy already accepted my case but I couldn’t afford to go to him. He has been my dream surgeon for so long, and because my treating surgeon is transferring care it’s hopefully going to be covered by insurance! I’m also on track to be seen by a neurosurgeon for the CCI, an ortho for my shoulder stability, and to get a ctv so I can see the cranial csf specialists. That all has to happen before the the surgery at John’s Hopkins, so we have a long road ahead of us. But none of this would have been possible without Ross @visible.illness fighting for me every day and believing in me. It also wouldn’t have been possible without all of you and your support and kindness. You have carried me thru the hardest era of my life and I am so eternally grateful for everything you guys have done for me <3 I love yall

We go here every day! It’s only about a 10min drive from downtown—it’s technically Dodger Stadium but it’s also a beloved locals spot. Every day I am grateful and feel blessed to be here in Los Angeles and not depr3ssed in the rural Midwest 🥳🥺💗 #tattooshop #losangeles #tattooinfluencer #creatorceo
