Introducing Michi Zaya, the director of Dunk Tank Play:A Psychosexual Exploration of the Dunk Tank in the Form of a Brave and Genderless New Short Play About Intimacy and Inspired by the Five Stages of Grief in Just 20-Something Pages That Are Sure to Blow Your Socks Off
Michi Zaya (any pronouns) is a deeply unwell and beautiful person that The Professor found at the bottom of a ditch. When Michi was brought in to be microchipped and spayed Hott Lettis realized they were probably going to be a star due to the general lack of fear and joie de vivre. Michi has since been scratching furniture at theaters in New York and Boston, recently directing I SHOULD BE OBLITERATED (Theatre Row, DUAF), THE JADE RABBIT IS CRASHING OUT OVER ELON MUSK (The Brick, T4T Fest), and associate directing a workshop of wAve (The Public Theater, Brooklyn College). Michi has zoomies and will take a nap in 30 minutes. Website: michizaya.com
Splash into Michi’s work THIS WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY AT 9:30 PM at Under St. Marks!

Introducing Hott Lettis, the playwriting team behind Dunk Tank Play:
A Psychosexual Exploration of the Dunk Tank in the Form of a Brave and Genderless New Short
Play About Intimacy and Inspired by the Five Stages of Grief in Just 20-Something Pages That
Are Sure to Blow Your Socks Off
Hott Lettis is the theatrical canon’s most under-appreciated eccentric yet traditional playwright. Living deep in the woods, he has enlisted the help of Alison Vincitore (she/her) & Milo O’Connell (she/her) to bring his groundbreaking work to New York City stages, further enshrining him as one of the greats. Professor Lettis never attended university. He dedicates this production to his estranged wife, Earnestine, who lives on the coast. hottlettis.com

5 performances, more than 300 audience members, 20 incredible artists, 2 years of on and off writing, months of hard work. We did it! Thank you so so much to everyone who supported The Last Grain of Rice, whether you donated, came to see it, or sent us well wishes. I am still in awe at the truly incredible work, collaborative spirit, commitment, enthusiasm, and talent that every single person who worked on this brought each and every day. I am so grateful and so proud of what we accomplished. To jazz and to rice! 💕🍚 EDIT: there was supposed to be a note from the professor and a lil’ pip surprise at the end but I broke Instagram uploading too many pictures
