Colour combos I’ve added AFTER initially renovating in quite a monochrome and industrial style.

I would say my palette is quite muted in the family spaces, but I’m happy for the kids rooms to be brighter, I miss the rainbow room now though! Any preferences? Laura x

Post inspired by @gracelovescolour who is as wonderful in person as her home is on the gram! Go follow if you don’t already! 💕

Welcome to my renovated 1970s home 👋 Packed full of DIYs, upcycled pieces and home hacks. The house budget went on the bricks and glazing so the decor has been done by me with lots of creative hacks and free labour! Now I hope to share ideas and tips with you! ✨Please do ask me anything x

Do you know what your personal style is?

Some people are clear on their personal style, whilst others couldn’t tell you the different types of interior styles out there.

Identifying your style can be really tricky - After our video call appointment we send our clients some initial inspiration pictures. We do this to see what they are drawn to and to show we understand their needs for the room. But we also do it to push them and stretch their thinking on the possibilities for their space.

Head to our stories to see our top tips from our most recent blog!

Whilst we wait for more mess to be created by the builders, I’m dreaming of the final look and design of the rooms. And one thing I’ve been massively ADDICTED to is trawling through Insta for IKEA hacks! Have you seen them? Sooo addictive!

Me and @lisa_j49 plan to give them a go to create a bespoke cupboard for a mini fridge and coffee machine, so watch this space and we’ll try to fumble our way through a creation.

Warning: before you carry on reading too much further, these things are like Pringles… trust me, you won’t be able to stop once you start.

Here’s a run down of my top 10 creations and the accounts that created them.

(@lucyjblay had to include a lollipop sticks creation 😂)

1. Havsta unit @crack_the_shutters - this account is AMAZING and has given me real inspo for our bespoke unit!
2. Hemnes @houseproject_36 - Laura is currently undergoing a huge extension that she’s documenting, definitely worth a follow.
3. Hemnes shoe cabinet @the.modberry - so creative.
4. Besta units @prettylittleterrace - what a beautiful office space 😍
5. Platsa doors @walkintheparquet - again, awesome account, step by step guide of how to create the look and awesome couple teamwork!
6. Billy bookcase @home.at.the.quarry - simple but so effective.
7. Besta units @our_home_interior_3 - so stylish and you’d never know it was IKEA under there!
8. Ivar @megmonde - what a transformation ❤️
9. Billy bookcase @the_house_acc - serious dressing room envy over here!
10. Ivar @our_self_build_ni - check out the finish on the top of the unit, what a fantastic job.

When I bought our current house I knew the biggest compromise was the tiny bathrooms. Previously I had lived in teeny places that had disproportionately large bathrooms. I thought I had made my peace with our teeny ones but recently I’ve been lusting over spacious bathrooms. This one - from tonight’s grid winner Laura - totally stopped me in my tracks. I think it pretty much ticks all my dream bathroom boxes and I love it! If you aren’t already following her then do head over to @houseproject_36 to see Laura’s gorgeous home. See you all tomorrow Love Victoria x
