Limit Lag (2025)

A human gaze occupies the upper third; the rest dissolves into procedural haze. Interfaces play the role of judges: the
“No fast hours left” banner reads like a verdict, time becomes currency, and subscription turns into bail.

In the center is a bubble with the word MERMORY written on it, where not only memory is read, but also mer–mory – as a failure in the very structure of memory.

This is not just an error, but a human echo in the digital interface.
The word LIMIT becomes a boundary between perception and overload, between man and machine.

Where memory is no longer internal, but with a subscription.
The piece documents how creativity undergoes a proof-of-humanity hearing, where the right to continue depends
on paying for time.

P[ai]inted art,
Post-photography, mixed media (photography, AI generation, digital UI overlays).

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the opening of Where The People Dance — a solo exhibition of @_serenabrown ’s powerful photography, on view at the Hox Gallery, Hoxton Hotel in Shepherd’s Bush.

Curated by @oritschreiber, this vibrant collection beautifully captures the spirit and joy that the Notting Hill Carnival brings to the community, year after year.

The exhibition runs for the next four months so there is plenty of time for a visit or two to support a local artist who who documents the community with realness and heart.

📍 Tag a friend who needs to go.
❤️ Like and share to help spread the word.

Skepta in a bespoke HAWAII© Trenchcoat Jacket handmade by Ryan Hawaii.

Originally co-created by Skepta & Ryan at his 2016 Exhibition live at Hoxton Gallery. This piece went on to be worn on the cover of Timeout Magazine photographed by Vicky Grout. The jacket was also worn in Skepta’s music video for “Man” for his award-winning album “Konnichiwa”.

My dad @anooshehashoori , was taken hostage and imprisoned by the Islamic regime in Iran, on a routine visit to his mum, for no reason other than having dual citizenship. He spent 4 years, 7 months and 4 days in Evin prison.

While incarcerated, he did the unthinkable and through the years, and at the risk of further punishment, smuggled a number of objects out of prison. Objects that reflect the dark reality of what goes on in this hell hole.

Additionally upon his release, he was permitted to take out with him various art works he created as a coping mechanism and as a means of survival.

No one to this day, other than prisoners and officials in Evin has been able to catch a glimpse of what goes on in Evin prison.

In partnership with @amnestyuk , we have put together this immersive exhibition ‘Surviving Evin’ , where for the first time, everyone can experience the horrors of this prison first hand. From objects to recreations of some aspects of life there.

The aim of this exhibition is to promote awareness on the injustices and brutalities that go on in this lawless hellhole, and to remind everyone of those left behind.

The exhibition runs for two days on May 29th and 30th at #hoxtongallery @hoxton_arches and you can find the link to tickets, which are free of charge, in my bio.

We look forward to seeing you there and to sharing this experience with you.
