Tonight is the Opening Night of the Mystery of Edwin Drood at Workhouse Arts Center! We have two weekends of shows in December, then we take a break for the holidays, and come back during January for three weeks. You do not want to miss this incredibly humorous show and we need audience participation to complete this Charles Dickens’ unfinished piece! Every night will have a different ending depending on who you vote for so come more than once to see how this gang of fools tackles 14 different endings!

“A time we were so foolish and so young”

#FlashbackFriday It is hard to believe this show was entering its closing weekend a year ago. It’s hard to think and know now that a pandemic was raging on without us truly knowing what was about to happen. We had no idea a month later the world would begin shutting down.

So, I am reminiscent of this time and grateful that, even before it all shut down, we had that time together and put on one hell of a show and created friendships that would be everlasting. I am sad that I have not gotten to see many of these faces in person for such a long time since. Had I known then what I known now, I would not have taken it for granted. I would have absorbed every ounce, every second, and every moment with each and every one of you completely and with even more attention and gratitude. I would have lived in those moments as if they were my last, in the present, and giving all the energy and love I could muster. I know I already did and gave a lot, but I would have given more and cherished it more if I had known it may be a long time until we could all be together again.

It certainly puts into perspective once again that we just never know what happens tomorrow. I am trying to do all I can to cherish so much day by day, even on the hard ones, no matter how small the moment may be, I don’t want to take it for granted.

I have more photos from this time to share but these were many I still had on my camera that I had not shared. Photos of me with many people I love and adore, backstage, during tech, making our future album covers, and some awesome candid shots I got to take during our dress rehearsals. There are many who I didn’t get enough pictures with that aren’t seen here, you know who you are, but know I am thinking of all of you.

I love you all, I miss you all, and I am sorry I didn’t say it enough when we were together face to face. Virtual meetings are nice, but I long for the day we can all be in the same room together again and hugging each other tight. Until then...
