ROYAL ALBERT HALL
Night two

Captured by @olofgrind & @alex_cameron

Still trying to find the words for these two nights. After more than a year and a half of planning, it feels surreal that they’ve actually happened. What an immense honour to play this legendary stage and share it with such extraordinary musicians - our band (@frejadrakenberg, @kasino_pic , @minkbandy and @gabrielrunemark) and @goteborgssymfoniker.

Those gorgeous intricate arrangements (thank you, Erik Arvinder)! The organ in Nothing Has To Be True (played by @hugh.rowlands )! All your phone lights illuminating the hall during Emmylou… so many moments we’ll never forget.

To everyone who helped bring these shows to life, we see you, and we’re so grateful. And to our darling listeners, thank you for filling that big room with so much love. We love you dearly.

We hope to bring these orchestral shows to more of you in the future. Until then, we’ll be living off these memories. So, so special ❤️

It was a treat to host @firstaidkitband with the @goteborgssymfoniker, conductor Erik Arvinder and organist @hugh.rowlands for the past two evenings ✨

“This is surreal,” they exclaimed while performing their breakthrough album Stay Gold in full, 12 years its release and their last visit to the Hall.

The second half of the show saw the Swedish folk duo perform fan favourites, old and new, alongside covers of Paul Simon and Dolly Parton.

And for one of these fan favourites, Nothing Has To Be True, they were joined by organist @hugh.rowlands for a stunning take on the 2018 track.

Switched on Bach — Honouring Wendy Carlos. Some photos from our memorable concert @boldtendencies — one of the most magical venues, performing Bach on Moog synthesisers. ❤️🎹
