Good morning darlings

Travelling sets my heart on fire and exploring Italy has been a great pleasure for me. ⠀

I am just Huli, a girl with zest from Makwarela Venda in these faraway lands.⠀
When I moved to the UK a few years ago, ⠀
one of my reasons was to see more of Europe and obviously things changed with the “panorama”. ⠀
⠀
It’s all Grace to be able to do this now and I am so grateful.⠀
⠀
This beautiful backdrop is the island of Procida, which is one of the Phlegraean Islands off the coast of Naples in southern Italy. We arrived in Naples from London Gatwick and took a 45 minute ferry from Naples Procida. ⠀

No matter how far away from home we are, we are STILL African through and through ✊🏾

I really enjoyed meeting up with my soul sister @hulindlovu exploring our current dwelling (England) whilst doing ‘Shakara’ (showing off) our African culture, being ourselves and just having fun!

I was really fascinated by the amount of compliments we received which shows the distinctiveness of our heritage and how much more we need to bring this to the limelight.

The world is interested and the time is now ✊🏾

Today’s feature is Hulisani Masibigiri - Ndlovu ,born & bred in Makwarela Township (Venda). She started her primary education at Mbaleni primary, & finished at Tshikevha Christian School.After matriculating she went on to study for a ND Accounting at UJ in 2004 and soon after that she decided to pursue her passion which was Psychology & enrolled to study for a Bcom degree in Industrial & organizational psychology which she obtained in 2016 & thereafter completed her Honors degree in Industrial psychology.
She started her Career at Standard bank in CIB OPS (Corporate Investment Banking Operations) in 2007 as a Reconciliations Analyst for their SB Plc business & was promoted to a Manager in 2009. It was during this time she was first exposed to international travel when she was invited to visit the Standard bank London office for a week. In 2011 she moved on to expand her leadership skills & managed the Nostro, Treasury FX Position Recon teams until 2013. She then took a different challenge as a specialist & moved into the Business Improvement & Change team as a Subject Matter Expert. After 9 years at Standard bank, she left to join Absa Capital in 2017 where she worked as a Structured derivatives specialist until she moved to the UK in May 2019. She has always been interested in make-up in 2012 December she was employed on a part time basis with Mac cosmetics & worked on weekends as a Makeup associate until July 2013 when she decided to branch out on her own as a Freelance makeup artist specializing in Bridal makeup. On weekdays she was a banker & weekends a makeup artist until 2019 when she moved abroad. She took few months off to settle into the new place & got a job at Investec Plc in Nov 2019 in Treasury & Trading Operations in Client Services.

She has been in the UK since May 2019 & before she got employed, she volunteered at the UK Cancer research charity shop in her town on a part time basis. She also started a Youtube channel doing makeup tutorials, and this spiked her interest in blogging. She currently have a personal blog called www.agirlwithzest which she started in Dec 2020 where she shares her experiences in travels & lifestyle.

It’s Lavender Season and the ladybird Lavender is in full bloom at castle farm in Kent, the largest Lavender farm in the UK!⠀
