Saw a post from @humanimoves … love her… leader of women at every stage of their journey toward living their best lives…. she reminded me who I was and how I got this far, with THIS dream for over half my life…that there’s no more searching. Home and my best life is where I am… who knew I’d circle me with the gawd forsaken unmagical magic circle….the hardest, most unforgiving prop I know I need to use on me cuz I need it more than it needs me…but here I am. Standing in the glow of my own making….they will find me here…they already are…doing what I do, learning what I learn, making my best life with them…for them…all the while, building the next step, continuing the journey.

I no longer need to find my people. My people will find me.

Wanna see what I do 👀

A little look into my world of Pilates.

From teaching group reformer classes and working across all apparatus, to educating and mentoring instructors, presenting workshops around Australia and internationally and making content and creating life long friendships along the way.

I’ve spent 10 years teaching, taught over 12,000 classes and had the opportunity to share my work with some pretty amazing people and communities along the way.

My background started in figure skating, which eventually led me to Pilates. These days I’m still learning, still exploring movement and finding new ways to share what I love about it.

Pocketrocketpilates is where a lot of that comes together. Education, accessibility, adaptability and creating a space where people can approach movement in their own way.

Here’s a little bit of what I get up to x

Officially certified in Reformer!!! I’ve been working on this certification for a solid year and I’m so excited to have completed every part of the program and to have passed the final test out. This Pilates journey has been so incredible and I have @humanimoves to thank for so much of that. I started working toward my mat cert back in December of 2022 with Maria at Humani and completed that program in 2024 (cert on slide 2). I started her Reformer program in 2025 and received my certificate yesterday. The biggest thank you to Maria for providing such a quality online training program. It would be impossible for me to do an in-person program living here in Ketchikan and leaving home for a few months to do a proper certification also isn’t an option. So basically, without Humani, Ketchikan Pilates wouldn’t exist. 🥹

Balanced Body Pilates on Tour is so much fun! I met so many great teachers, studio owners and movers. And their 50th anniversary party was amazing! 🎉

It’s the little things 🤍

A good class, a good laugh, and the little moments that make the studio feel like home.

What’s something that makes you irrationally happy? ↓

Pilates Journal Expo round 2 👀✌🏽

I went to my first Pilates Expo earlier this year and came home with so much more than new exercises.

New instructors. New perspectives. New ways of thinking about movement + teaching — and definitely a few things I learned about navigating the weekend itself 😅

As I get ready for @the_pilates_journal in Miami, I put together a few things I’m doing differently this time + tips I’d give anyone attending.

My biggest one? Go in with an intention, but leave room for the unexpected.

You don’t have to squeeze every workshop, class and event into your schedule to make the weekend worth it. Learn, move, meet your Pilates people, explore a little + enjoy being surrounded by a community that loves this work as much as you do. 💛

Who’s heading to Pilates Expo this weekend?! 👀I can’t wait to see you all there!

Drop a 👋🏽 below + tell me what workshop you’re most excited for so we can connect!
💾 Save this for the weekend + send it to your Expo buddy ☀️
