I carry the letter ‘H’ from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights — Article 26(2) — on my skin, not just as art, but as accountability.

Human Rights Tattoo is not just art; it is a living, collective act of resistance and remembrance, initiated by Dutch artist @sandervanbussel Sander van Bussel in response to the murder of his Kenyan friend and fellow artist, Steven Nyash.
Each letter is carried by a person. 6,773 letters. 6,773 bodies. A shared responsibility.

This ‘H’ is a lifelong vow- to defend dignity, demand justice, and fight for a world built by the people, for the people & I am not exception 🤘
This is not a moment.
This is a position.

Even flashback naar afgelopen zondag en het evenement in LocHal Tilburg georganiseerd door @bootsprojects en @humanrightstattoo.

Hiervoor schreef ik enkele gedichten met als titel: "Een meisje".

Ook mijn zorgcoördinator @ilsejanssen43 heeft een interview gegeven waarvoor ook extra aandacht voor de Gofund.me actie betreft sponsoring voor hulp in aanschaffen van hulphond/assistentiehond werd gevraagd.

Zo mooi om reacties teruggekoppeld te krijgen en van mensen te horen dat ze mee willen helpen waarvoor mijn grote dank.🫶

Op 31 mei vindt in de LocHal weer de Human Rights Tattoo Meet-up plaats. „Between a ripple and a revolution“ begint rond 13.00 uur met een programma vol sprekers en activiteiten.

Ook wij zijn weer aanwezig, tijdens het activiteitenblok kun je 3 mensen vrij schrijven en een handtekening zetten tegen de mensenrechtenschendingen in de VS.

On 20–21 February, the Human Rights Tattoo festival took place in Lithuania, co-organized by Coming Out.

As part of the international art project Human Rights Tattoo, participants continued tattooing the text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights — letter by letter — onto people’s skin.

The Lithuanian edition was organized in collaboration with Coming Out, The Others and Lithuanian Gay League under the theme “Solidarity Without Borders.”

Over two days, more than 60 tattoos were made — each one carrying a fragment of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

At a time when many civil society organizations from Belarus and Russia are forced to operate in exile, this project became a powerful reminder: leaving does not mean giving up, and solidarity does not stop at borders.

Participation in the project is free of charge, but donations help Human Rights Tattoo continue spreading human rights awareness worldwide and keep the initiative accessible to everyone.

Yesterday and today, as a part of @comingout.global team, I had the honour of being part of the @humanrightstattoo event.

Around 60 tattoos were created by incredible @ya__ger and @kimtokki_tattoo - each carrying words from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Ink turned into a statement. Skin into solidarity.

People came from the United States, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus. Different journeys, one shared belief: human rights belong to everyone.

For those of us defending LGBTQ+ rights in Russia, this is not symbolic. It is deeply personal. When rights are denied to some, they are weakened for all. Visibility matters. Solidarity matters. Speaking up matters.

Human rights are not just written in documents. Sometimes, they are written on us.

Правда, круто?
Я являюсь татуировщиком проекта и сам набивал эти буквы всем желающим.
Это было моё первое знакомство с Питером(Санкт-Петербургом) и Сандером, автором проекта.
Вообще мы с Сандером общаемся очень хорошо и вне проекта. А в студии у меня висит плакатик с этой встречи и напоминание из какого слова и обзаца моя буква. Да, у меня тоже есть буква и мне не бил сам автор проекта.

Собственно говоря Сандер и скинул мне эти фото афиш. А мне очень приятно,что на афише именно я.

Моё солнце мне скажет — это про нас
