The awning is going up. After a lot of research, waiting for parts, reworking aluminum and removing part of the roof rack, it’s going to work! #leonardogayvanci #gayazdads #vanconversion #campervanbuildout #awning

We saw this rainbow on our walk this morning and it reminded us of when we came out. Coming out is hard enough, BUT it’s how the people in our lives respond to it that makes a HUGE difference. I hope all family and friends of queer people can be the kind of allies that offer more than just lip service to their LGBTQIA loved ones. We definitely know the difference between unconditional and conditional love. Thank you to those in our lives who love who we are unconditionally. 🌈❤️

This awning mount is finally about done. @hunsakermiles has been working hard to engineer the brackets and place them perfectly for the awning. It’s a journey!! #leonardogayvanci #gayazdads #vanconversion #campervanbuildout #awning

We enjoyed a beautiful weekend with dear friends in the stunning red rocks of central and southern Utah. We tasted crisp tree ripened apples, sipped delicious coffee on the balcony, enjoyed hiking, an incredible meal at @hellsbackbonegrill and deeply meaningful conversations with these dear friends. It’s moments like this that remind us to connect with ourselves, those close to us and the Earth under our feet.

The awning will almost double our living space on the road. But finding the additional bracket for it has been our biggest challenge yet. It’s manufactured by a foreign company and they don’t sell in the US anymore. And a local manufacturer won’t make it for us. After 3 weeks of searching we finally found the part we needed - now figuring out ways to modify the mount so we can install the awning!! Miles is always thinking about how to make it work!! #leonardogayvanci #gayazdads #vanconversion #campervanbuildout #campervan

Was lucky enough to start a new decade of life in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico. @tavitkazanjian surprised me for my 40th birthday by contacting my boss months ago and secretly getting time off approval for my birthday weekend. What a surprise! Two of our closest friends @hunsakermiles and @jim.was.jaimeblanco came along for the birthday celebration and we had an AMAZING time! It was a dream trip filled with plenty of tacos, snorkeling, speedos, exploring hidden beaches, and making memories I’ll cherish forever. Cant wait to return to such a beautiful place. Entering my 40s filled with gratitude, excitement, and am so proud of the journey getting to where I am today.

Getting the roof rack installed in this heat felt a little daunting, but we’ve started it nonetheless! It’s exciting to watch this all come together. #leonardogayvanci #gayazdads #vanconversion #campervanbuildout #roofrack

We are starting to assemble the roof rack. We bought a kit for it and feel it was worth the extra cost. #roofrack #leonardogayvanci #gayazdads #vanconversion #campervanbuildout
