I first met @matthew_christopher_lewis 12 months ago when he hopped into my Uber as a passenger one sunny afternoon. He'd been shopping for drawing supplies, as he was working on a storyboard for his new short film project.
That was the first thing we started talking about, and within 30 seconds of him getting in the car, we we're swapping names of mutual acquaintances (yep, you know who you are).

Not long after that brief, but enriching exchange, Matthew sent me the script for his project titled "The Goat Quest."
"I want you to play the wizard," he said.
"I'm in," I hastily responded with glee.

The thing I love about film making, storytelling, and art in general is that there's real permission to share an idea, a thought, a vision, a response to your version of life. To peer deep into the souls of our fellow human neighbours is to absorb this whole crazy idea called life.

The Goat Quest takes this idea of life and captures it in such a surprising, heartfelt, and absurd way that it reflects the very nature of what life is. Surprising, heartfelt, and absurd.
That's why this film is such a joy to experience.

To Matthew and every legend listed below, i'm beyond super stoked to have shared this experience with you.

I hope our paths cross again.

My third short film ‘Nonexistent’ is officially a wrap! Which also means my ‘Axxon Trilogy’ is also officially a wrap! I just wanted to thank my cast and crew again, you guys are beyond the best and I especially want to thank each of you for all your hard work. We wouldn’t be here without all of you! This film was the most complex yet most rewarding film of the three and it was a labour of love that was only possible due to the people who shared this dream with me. You all deserve nothing short of the best and I hope you’re all as proud of yourselves as I am of you. To the cast, you all gave award worthy performances even without a single line of dialogue ever being spoken, that is raw and pure talent if ever I’ve seen it. I will look for any excuse to cast all of you again in the future! Thank you all again for helping bring this dreamy, surreal and experimental no dialogue film to life! All my love to all of you! 🫶

Back in the @uncannyvalley.film but this time as 1st Assistant Camera!

Thank you all for an amazing weekend and for allowing me to be a part of your world, I am forever grateful for each and every one of you.

From fruity shirts worn by Duncy, car shenanigans, lots of bug spray and late night gossiping til 2 in the morning: my life is forever better having been a part of it. Will be counting down the days til I get to see each and every one of you again! 🫶

Although not filled of jet setting adventures, last year was absolutely not lacking in substance. Toward the end of the year I found myself graduating University. I am so proud that I stuck to my guns and ended up with a degree I truly lived and breathed throughout the last two years. The journey of my years behind a lens has taught me ample about perspective and how such accessible tools can create such profound meaning. I cannot wait to grab a camera and dive into capturing a lifetimes worth of beautiful stories. Time to fulfil my calling and make a difference. Extremely grateful for the people I met along the way and the laughter, tears and inspiration we shared. It’s with a reluctant goodbye that this chapter closes… Alas the world awaits and it’s time to begin crafting the many creations that will write the next.

I don't normally make sappy social media posts but I feel like this occasion is the exception.

For those who don't know, I am moving away to Port Macquarie in the New Year to start a new career at NBN News as a camera operator!

Leaving is a daunting, scary experience, but one that I'm also super excited for! This will be an amazing opportunity to advance my passion for filmmaking and camera work, and I can't wait to get started!

Thank you to all who have supported me, whether it be through mentoring me, being involved in my projects, or just being there for me in general! I'm so lucky to have you all in my life!
